I prefer turkey bacon.

Love bacon but not as much as DS...he's in a panic at the thought of a bacon shortage.

Made a veggie soup when I got home tonight....added some diced ham....do not like the idea of a pork shortage, or high, high prices!

Had lots of stuffing left, but no more big peppers, so I opened a jar of roasted peppers and laid those over the stuffing. Tasted just as good, maybe even better!

Heading to my fav place for lunch....Patti's in Litchfield.....while in NH, Doug's niece took me to the King Arthur factory store in Norwich, VT.....all redone, had Portuguese kale soup & a chicken salad at the cafe....both very good....

But it's the fat that makes it taste good!

Hot dogs aren't good for you either but every once in awhile I still have to have a Kirschner hot dog w/salt pork...cause if im going to eat bad im going all the way!!

I crave bacon about twice a year.....usually I stop at the diner for breakfast after my twice-a-year blood tests.....always order a poached egg & crispy bacon.....I was on the Atkins Diet about 10 years ago....my cholesterol was never lower.....my doc is always telling me it's the carbs that are bad for me....but I love bread.....

Went out to eat I ordered a pork dish that looked great...bacon in the sauce...wasn't good :-(

Making pizza tonight after I take Henry to his riding lesson. They do a great job at this farm with therapeutic riding. It's also his turn to sleep over.

How nice for Henry...my 5 year old grandchild gets to ride..her friend's parents rescue & rehabilitate horses & ponies....some sad cases.....

While taking my MIL for a test last week, had a great sandwich - turkey, bacon and guacamole on some delish toasted bread. Was great.

There are even donuts with bacon. Never tried them. In Portland, OR we went to try
Voodoo donuts. They were on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieti. They had the bacon donuts there. Well, the line was very, very long and we didn't feel like waiting over an hour. Maybe another time.

I can attest chocolate with bacon in it.. ROCKS!!!

Took the banana bread loaves {2} to Queens, NY for a family event. One loaf is now gone and we didn't even get to the event yet which is tomorrow. My banana bread is very popular. Not cooking tomorrow either. SIL is providing lasagna for tomorrow's dinner which will smell all the sweeter because I didn't have to cook it!

You are so right! Today I stuffed & roasted a chicken, sweet potatoes, & zucchini....

DW made pizza with Pepperoni, Pepper, Mushrooms extra tomato and cheese using King Arthur pizza flour. It wouldn't pass New Haven thin crust standards, but it sure was good!

Sounds a whole lot better than left-over chicken!

Leftovers here too...ham, cabbage and potatoes.

The bean soup was very yummy. Biscuits and salad on the side.

I know I should start burning the wood from last year's storm, but am too lazy to keep running outside & hauling wood up the stairs....have no idea what to make for dinner....not much food in the fridge, have to hit Stop & Shop & also cook something for my Mom.....I need a personal chef!
