Last one was long.
I've been baking up a storm and will continue to as it gets colder. Tonight we are having a nice big pot of chilli and a pan of corn bread. For dessert we have white chocolate/macadamia nut cookies. :)
These are cinnabon muffins.
Whatcha Cooking?
You read my mind, I was just about to do a new thread
We had pork loin, potato and corn on the cob on the grill
steak, baked potato and lima beans.
oh lord those look good Celeste!!!
Thanks Allison, they weren't bad. ^_^
Pork, sweets with apples and onions. Not sure what else yet.
Oh, yum! Everything sounds so delish! Taking a friend to lunch today, so leftovers for dinner......
met a friend for breakfast, tried a new diner, wasn't impressed will be going back to my old diner
Good day for diner (comfort) food!
DH is cooking a turkey tonight
homemade Chinese, gonna try lo mein and pork fried rice, will let ya know how it turns out
One of the BEST things about this time of year - macoun apples!!!!
Turkey sounds good, I smelled stuffing at work today even though no one had it.
Yum! Love turkey and the fixings.
Just saw a product - a nice-looking leather 'holster' for drinking out of standard mason jars. Looks great, but when did people start drinking out of mason jars???
Used to be a bar here called the mason jar and that's how they served drinks.
the guy at work always always drank his coffee from a goober jar.. and that jar never saw soap
it was stained and nasty... one of the guys took it off the top of the fridge and washed it... you had to hear him flip out that he wrecked his years of seasoning on it.. ICK
LOL
redneck wine glass
Well I'll stick to buying Chinese food from now on, too much work, too messy and just doesn't taste the same
yeah no msg.. LOL
I just never realized they were routinely used for drinking coffee, etc.
The restaurant where I had lunch yesterday served iced tea in Mason jars.....yes, Victor, fresh apples are so great this time of year.....I went to the orchard last week & chose about 9 different varieties, from Gravensteins to Macouns! Jen, good Chinese recipe that tastes very authentic is Eating Well's Magazine, Green beans & Tofu
ick tofu
I don't think I've ever had a Macoun, my fav is Cameo
the thing with tofu is the texture, if you can get past it then it shouldn't be a problem. Tofu will take on the flavor of what it's cooked in. If you cook it in a brown meat sauce it should take on that flavor. I worked with the Chinese for 6 years and thats what I was told.
I don't eat soy of any kind
or should I say try not to eat soy, they put it in everything!
it's so bad for you
The soy is cut into cubes, floured, & sauteed....you put in Thai chili sauce....delish!
Wow...scary stuff! Just heard on the news about arsenic in rice.....more in brown than white.....pediatrician said not to give to young kids.....
