Northeast Gardening: Coffee Break # 85
no kidding
How awesome is that!!!
Oh, joy...couldn't get into the site! Good for you Pix.....an awesome goal!
I don't usually complain to companies but I did today...yesterday while shopping for my tea (I usually buy online but happened to be near the store) the two sales people were so pushy wanting me to buy stuff I didn't want I almost walked out without my tea. Kept insisting the more I buy the more I save. If they work on commission they just lost mine. I sent an email to their website, they may never respond but I felt better. I really should have told them at the store I didn't like what they were doing and left without a purchase but I actually felt funny and though that would have been rude of me...next time I will!
If we don't complain management will not know and can't fix it. I try to write compliments when I have had extra good service.
Way too involves to get into details, but my MIL had another big setback. Transferred again today from the rehab hospital near us to the regular hospital. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. This never ends. Over six months now.
just terrible... the poor thing.. will do
Sorry Victor, sending more prayers.
So sorry to hear that Victor, adding extra prayers.
In my prayers. It's tough to be getting on.
Oh, dear! Will continue to pray
Very sorry, Victor.....just a strain on everyone....
Of course, dear Victor.
Thanks, all. News is actually worse since last night. She will need a completely new double aortic graft done. Very dicey. Only 60% survival rate and many possible complications, including paralysis. First, she is having another procedure done where two tubes will be inserted through the skin in her back to connect to her ureters. I feel so bad for my poor wife. She had to make the final decision re the surgery. As of last night, we thought the plan was an indefinite period of strong antibiotics. Now, they say that would only suppress, and not get rid of the infection in her graft. They worried that it would spread to her stump and good leg. Also, she would have never gotten rid of the C diff, which she still has. Ugh.
Thank you. I really appreciate it.
will pray for the best Victor
Very bad, discouraging news, Victor......prayers on the way.....
Prayers
Thank you for the info, Victor. Overwhelming! Big hugs for your dear wife and MIL. Will keep the surgeons and others involved in my prayers.
Thank you, ladies.
Prayers for all the love and comfort possible to Victor's mother in law and family. Prayers for the best outcome.
hugs to all and prayers
Thanks, ladies. Surgery is set for Tue.
Still praying
Will pray for your family Victor, hoping for the very best results. MIL is a strong cookie to have endured so much already.
A few UPDATES: (I know im way over due )
Baby Adam is doing pretty good considering. The MRI showed no change , but thats better than more spots or the ones there growing. He's in the hospital right now, his counts are a bit low so they are keeping him until they come back up. Thats another tough little cookie right there!
My brother just finished 12 days of radiation treatments, he starts chemo on Tuesday. It will be very aggressive that day(5hours) then on Wed. he will get a normal dose, then have a few weeks to recoupe, then do it again.
In the mean time I have arranged for all my brothers to fly home at the end of Oct. for one last get together.
We were 7 strong, one girl with 6 older brothers who were once raised as ONE. In Oct. we will be 6 strong, we've already laid one to rest. Soon I will lay 2 more as my other brother Alan has been battling for several years. I think I mentioned he's lost a kidney and both of his testicles in the last 7 years. So when brother Brian was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer I was blown away. The news only got worse...his lung cancer metastasized to his brain and there is a large blood clot in his neck. None of which can be operated on, we can only hope to buy him some time by slowing it down alittle. It's taken me weeks to be able to say/write these words and accept them. He is not just my brother, this one is my best friend. We cook together, garden, play dominos, go out in the boat every Weds in the summer months. He is the one who took the time to really get to know his little sister, when I was little he would take me for an ice cream. He is 13 years older than me and has always watched out for me, encouraged me, picked me up when I fell and most of all.....loved me unconditionally.
I use to think it was nice to be the youngest and the only girl, but now im not liking what that entails. With a gap of 17 years between me and the oldest and 9 years between me & the youngest, I will most likely be the one left alone. :(
Celeste I think your "one tough cookie" with a "tender heart of gold!" Hugs to you (((♥♥♥)))
And I agree the grankids can make it all go away for a while!
Sorry, Celeste. Know that feeling too well. I have a huge family and with my mom being the youngest (of 15), they are all in that age range.
Prayers to all
yes more prayers going out.. my oldest sister is 16 1/2 years older than I am.. 15 years.. and 4 years.. going to be a whacked out thing here too
So sorry!

Just took my MIL into the OR minutes ago.
Have been thinking of her and your family this morning. Praying for the best.
Great news. They went in and found no infection in the grafts. They think it's all urological so they closed her right back up! Still have to resolve that but that is manageable. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. I know it helped!
Big exhale.
