Bird 1 Glass 0!
Sampson is going to have ultrasound on Friday to see what is going on inside that furry body. I swear that I thought he was dying yesterday morning and this morning he was almost back to normal!
Oh, no...poor Sampson! I hope he's fine, Memory...let us know....Had another close encounter with a bird today...a rooster....while I was walking Suey, I could hear crowing, thought I was losing it! Came to the end of the trail, & there he was....stopped at the ranger's office....they were like, "Oh, yeah, we saw him yesterday...let nature take it's course," I came home & called our dog warden. She wasn't in, but I left a message so she could find him.....I just can't see letting the poor guy get eaten by a coyote....
Hope Sampson will be okay, Memory. Poor guy.
Marilyn, we had a rooster hanging around our place recently. The humane society sent a guy out to pick him up. Lately I've been seeing a lot of chickens running loose.

Good luck Samson!
We now have a rooster! What we thought was a hen had decided to crow! LOL I'll keep him as long as he doesn't get to loud, don't want anyone to complain. It stinks since he is a real sweetheart.
I hope someone takes this guy.....
We are back from the Vet and I have a little baggie of kitty fur to add to my big bag - someday there will be enough for a sweater - or something. Sampson's insides looked pretty good - no lumps where there shouldn't be lumps. A small cyst that could have been there for years and some enlarged veins in his liver was all that we saw (I got to watch) along with a very active digestive system. So he and Wallingford (who has the same blood profile) get antibiotics and a liver pill derived from Milk Thistle for two weeks and then we test Sampson again. I make some tuna "juice" and let them start with that and interrupt with a pill and they get back to the tuna juice and all is well.
Glad to hear of the absence of lumps.
Good news.....he's just a very handsome boy....
very good news
good to hear
Glad to hear that!
I'm happy to hear that Sampson is doing fine. Great shot of him.
Karen
He's such a beautiful Maine Coon, glad he's OK Memory.
He will be. *stomping big foot in emphasis* Thanks for everyone's good wishes for him.
OMG is Cy the cutest!!! ... look at those two goofing around.. looks like a Halloween photo with the whites of her eyes
Great shots, Celeste. I can see why you wouldn't be afraid.
Karen
Too cute! Thought of you last night, Pixie....Animal Planet had Chinook puppies, from newborn to 7 weeks!
Guess we'll have to bring Wall-e back in the house for the next couple of days, he's not gonna be happy
We aren't in an area that would need evacuation but found myself saying "I wouldn't leave the dogs" can't even imagine it. Harper would be so scared in a center with so many strangers.
Not sure how Winston will be, this is his first big storm. So glad they have large bladders!
Glad we don't have to evacuate, either. I couldn't leave our dogs, and Gretchen and my nephew Ryan couldn't leave their cats. The dogs would be okay in a shelter, and maybe Gretchen's cat would be, as she has no problem with the vet, but Ryan's cat Togi would not do well.
Here are some pics of the dogs from that walk at the conservation area last weekend.

Looks like they loved it.....
They did. I just noticed that Jerry's head looks awfully big in that second pic. It's the camera angle. His head does look big, but that's exaggerated.
Karen
Cute dogs. I bet they a a great time.
Thanks, Doug. Yes, they had a wonderful time. They love to sniff everything.
Kare
just adorable
Thanks, Allison!
