Filet mignon, sweet potatoes and corn on the cob on the grill
Summer cooking continued
I need to get some c on the cob..
Mmm..sounded yummy, Jen.....
Hubby also grilled a poblano, I thought they were mild...whew...I burnt my tongue!!!!! felt like a thousand bees stinging me....had to suck on an ice cube for awhile
Nothing worse than a hot pepper...ask Victor! I had watermelon gazpacho & an angus burger at the restaurant today...oh, yeah....white chocolate mousse with candied pistachios, too!
Cheesecake Factory for lunch, grilled chicken, endive and pear salad
Leftover chili for dinner, hubby and son had chili dogs
All sound yummy.....tonight it will be something with tomatoes....they are ripening too fast! Guess I could make stuffed tomatoes.....
what do you stuff them with?
If I want a cold salad, I stuff them with tuna, chicken, or ham salad.....if I want to bake them, I stuff with hamburger, rice, & cheese....if I had another eggplant, I would try that with garlic, breadcrumbs, & basil....
fried egg sandwich
Yep, I have days like that....today am taking mom out for lunch, so gazpacho for supper......
Made sausage, peppers and onions. Will have some to freeze.
kielbasi
cheater dinner from costco.. chicken picatta with artichoke hearts.. was pretty good
pork steaks, rice and corn on the cob
Burgers, garlic mashed, seasoned green beans, pickled beets and a buttermilk biscuits.
I had stuffed cabbages from the restaurant...leftovers for today.....
LOVE stuffed cabbage!!!!!!!!!!!
It was OK....used to my own, I guess.....I use grape jelly & chili sauce for the sauce on top of the rolls.....adds lots of flavor....
never heard of using jelly and chili sauce, do you bake yours?
Lobster, clams, corn on the cob, potato, hard boiled egg, potato salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs, chips and dip, peanut butter blossoms, blueberry bread, make your own ice cream sundae, and CAKE!!
Going to the Lobster Bake @ Tiff's and this is what I know will be there. Son-in-law side of the family will be bringing more things!!
Will take pictures of the yummies and the cake, can't wait to see what Jen my cake lady comes up with this year!! ^_^
very nice!!.. can't wait to see the pics
I'm curious about the jelly & chili sauce flavor, also. Those are two things I would never think of putting together!
Pixie, I don't know how you stay so slim! What a feast! Jen & Don, I add 1/2 of a small jar of grape jelly & half of a bottle of chili sauce to one large can of crushed tomatoes....heat to a boil, making sure jelly dissolves, pour over cabbage rolls, & bake at 300 for 2-21/2 hours......if sauce is too thick, you can add a little water.....
Sounds like a good time is on tap this afternoon.
That sauce sounds good.
