Cool painting! You got talent, Robin! The photos were from last month. I do have blooms currently on the Fourth of July. some sprays on a couple branches. I just summer pruned all my roses. So hoping for a second flush.
Currently I got lilies, dahlias, coneflowers, some clematis blooming at the moment. will post photos when I get the chance.

If you want to see my rose garden - close to 100 varieties in full bloom, I posted it in the rose fourm:
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1264641/

And I'm not even done posting all varieties.

Marilyn what a wonderful painting.Nice treatment of those petals.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks all....the rose was hard to paint because it's a 'stiff' rose....not much bend to its petals......Tex, I can't believe that rose collection.....I just couldn't choose a favorite.....all are gorgeous, and to see the color changes is wonderful!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Beautiful stuff, everyone! Marilyn, I love the painting of the Fourth Of July rose. I'm just loving my new ones.

Tex, what an amazing display of roses you have at your place. Thanks for sharing. Will have to go through and really look at all your pics when I have more time. I just got 2 Fourth of July roses last month for a new (used, new to me, got it for $40) arbor. I love them! I also bought a Judy Garland rose. Still deciding where to plant that one.

I've always loved your Mom's Tangerine Ruffles.....it forms such wonderful, bright clumps...well, here's the white (actually blush) rose from my garden, have no idea what it is....and the next photo is what I'm working on today... There is a white rose in that trio....when I finish it, I'm starting a painting of my Chocolate Canary lily......
