Whole place is way cool! Very nice! Allison, I really like the lisianthus...cannot grow it....found the tag for this guy...either I have garden elves, or senility has set in...I suspect the latter, but it's Lionheart.....Chocolate Canary is nearby, but hasn't opened yet.....

nice to come here and see some color! Joann those are very nice!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Now I wish I had planted cosmose. Its on my list for next year.

Thomaston, CT

Jo, those paintings are just beautiful!!! I'm doing roses, finished with one, almost finished with second.....no cosmos out here yet, but many are up....they just come up anywhere in my veggie garden....

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I have problems with self sown plnts. Not as prolific here as in other gardens,or I am weeding the weeplants in spring.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I have that problem myself JoAnn.. lovely blooms all.. and your paintings are just fabby!!!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I must have sown a thousand larkspurs over the past 4 years.I only have 2 plants.
I have given up.

Thomaston, CT

Larkspur like the cold soil....seed out in early April.....

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

The plant that has impressed me the most so far is an unnamed Columbine. I got the seeds in trade 3 years ago with assurances it was deep blue pompom style & it breeds true. There was a 2 x 3 ft patch open in the nursery so they were tossed in there, lots of seeds. I kept it weeded and fed to get this They glowed in the sun & dominated in the shade in May. The camera does not record the proper color.

Stunning!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

nice Andy.. great color too

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It is more blue or more purple, either way it is gorgeous!!

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Then there are the Hens & Chicks. Major winter hardscaping generated refuges, a few went into old sneakers. They almost never bolt to seed, ever. What are the odds of growing a new leg. I still have a pail of these succulents. Got shoes?
