all gone!!!
Garden pests #2
EWWWWW!
Picking jbs off Crape Myrtle, Cherry tree, couple on lilies and roses, even thou I had sprayed....there aren't tons of them so I guess that's a good thing
Have found them on my DLs this year....
Has anyone tried those JB traps? Worth it?
The traps draw more to the area, if you use them they should be away from the garden.
Like in the neighbor's yard?
Yep!
What if the neighbors are Japanese??
I thought a jb trap was like a mouse trap!
Started at 7:30 this morning. I gave 68 tomatoe plants their 1st haircut. Done 4 hours later.
I think I see the 1st sign of blight. I recall 7 plants had black areas on the stems. I have done 3 rounds of Garden Disease Controll, started doing it in June. If I get blight I will be ready to plow that garden in and never do it again.
think you made a friend
Kiss him!!
Oh, poor baby...he needs to be in a pond.....
looks like one of those scarab beetles from the mummy

Taxonomy
The figeater beetle (Cotinis mutabilis) is often confused with the green June beetle (Cotinis nitida). They are both members of the flower beetle subfamily[2] (Cetoniinae), and their appearance is quite similar, but the green June beetle is smaller, and its range is in the eastern United States. The only possible crossover of both species is in Texas.
this one maybe

keep that creep away from my figs!!!!!
Well this thing is HUGE, I would die if I saw one bigger
Probably grew in a toxic dump in Jersey.
don't start the Jersey bashing again please
yeah! watch it!
You need to take it to your Dept. of Agriculture....they should know if an exotic is in your area.....
Everything looks wonderful Sherrie!!!!!!!!! Don't say the H-worm word....i've been thinking the same thing and watching for them. :(
Did you see that article by Critter about the hornworms???
http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/1270/
they turn into such a pretty moth, just grow some alternative plants for them to munch and move them over to them if you find them on your tomatoes
Ugh, would have died
