Eek...glad the store called you, Patti!
Shopping spree #12
Those problems are becoming more and more common every day. Glad you were notifed, Marilyn (and Patti) in time to deal with it. I know that internet banking has its risks too, but i have been using it almost exclusively to pay all of our bills since we became nomads. Knock wood.....no problems so far!
🌺
got a call a couple days ago about 2 small bogus charges on my card from the cc company - had the card cancelled and new one was delivered the next day.
That was quick service!! What credit card company is it? Mine took 10 days.
You gotta watch them like a hawk. Ours have been replaced very quickly on several occasions. Worse thing is for my DH to have to notify all the accounts we have paid directly to change the number so they all get paid. Patti
My cc bank is good about that. Had to cancel a few times.
roses it is a united mileage plus visa - they offered to send it out regular mail or next day dhl no cost - not a hard decision - card does have a yearly fee - although because i have it all my united mileage points do not expire, saved me thousands when i was able to fly biz class to italy last fall.
had a large credit with my favorite jm source topiary gardens - have 17 new maples on order - went small this year with 2 and 3 gallon maples and only a couple 5 gallon - most are very small dwarfs that will easily find new homes. more lawn will be removed again this year and expansion down back, another 20 yds of dirt will be needed - again.................
as much as i like getting larger maples - many of the smaller ones i ordered several years back are now getting some size and being able to train and shape them from the start has worked out well. many of the larger ones, especially from out west, are grown for vertical height and not so much for attractive branching.
Will you show us some pictures of your trees and gardens. They surely must be a wonderful sight.
The post office found my order form & mailed it to me... then, they put it in my neighbor's box! But I'm just thrilled to get it back......ordered a camellia, Winter's Star, from Fairweather. Bill, you will have to give tours......your home is like a botanical garden!
Ordered some iris from Snowpeak....a few TB & one semi-dwarf....
I think Bill ought to give us a virtual tour, too. I am enjoying shopping for JMs, dwarfs especially.
Anyone signed up for Groupon?
there is one for Longwood Gardens!!!!
No....have no idea what it is.....
group - coupon... you buy it in advance and get it cheaper
Usually at 1/2 price
First time I heard of Groupon, I had a totally different thing in mind. Boy was I wrong.
I love Groupon! Got the kids White Water Rafting Trips for half price last year. It included a BBQ @ the end of the trip.
Sent the grandkids on a horse & buggy ride through the snow, something they wouldn't do every day. ^_^
Got $40 worth of Red Barn vouchers for $20.....you'd have to try RED BARN food to know why this is SOOOO worth it. I bought $80. :) :) :)
I have my fantasy order in for Paul Blacks 2013 intros. If his intros for 2012 are any indication I will need to have a stiff drink and cut the list by 2/3rds

Nice Jo!
Some very pretty iris! I, too, start with a huge list....then cut it, then cut it again! When I win the Lotto.......LOL
I do the big list, check the garden for room, then check for color.I usually end up with 10% of what I started out with due to space here.
You are so good, Jo, about the color...I buy what catches my eye....then I end up with maroon iris sitting next to a red-orange rose!
Having those criteria helps me eliminate some choices.Kills me to do it but I must be strong.
How does Groupon work?? You just check the website for ones you're interested in or can you customize for things that interest you?
Just join, and they will send you their offers. Same goes for Living Social. Got great ski packages for my grandsons last year. Lots of stuff going on this year too.
Oh Wow, Jo! Those are some gorgeous iris's. You always make me laugh....love your stiff drink strategy! 🍸😉
and it's free to join, you tell them what area you're from or what area you're interested in and hobbies and likes and they just email stuff that they think you'd be interested in, you can also check their site for other areas
Those are some gorgeous Irises
I use the app Victor.. you can just browse the offers in your area.. or just the categories you are interested in .. tons of good stuff on there
Thanks. Will check it out.
I just bought touch screen gloves today.. look real nice
Last year one of you recommended a site for a company that had the most beautiful blue hollyhocks. Now I want to buy the seeds and I don't remember the name of the nursery.
Can anyone help?
Don't remember anyone on this site.....they sound awesome, though.
