Weather In Your Garden # 118

Very severe storms have gone through....wind was between 50-60 mph according to forecaster...tree through house just in the next town to me, 27,000 without power in the northern counties of CT....Suey & I were in the basement....again...this is getting upsetting, my tall old tree were swaying like in a hurricane.....but, thank God, no damage here...just a lightning strike that was so close I heard the snapping......and some very welcome rain! Hope everyone in the storm areas will be safe!

you know some people never learn.. we had the awning partially rolled out.. I saw the water was building up in it.. lowered the end.. and almost drowned myself... AGAIN.. what a dope!!!

I don't think we even got that much.. I had a loaf pan with seedlings in it.. no holes.. barely dumped out any water.. guess the gels took most of it

75° a sprinkle of rain, that's all. they had more in Boston, but that is 25 miles south.

Parts of Maine got slammed, hail, winds knocked down tree 's & limbs, water flooded parking lots from one rain storm. It was horrible and amazing all at the same time.

We had great weather, 75 when I got out of work, a nice cool night for the baseball game

we had a bad one with hail and everything...crazy!

storms rolled thru here all night, finally nice and quiet we got 1.5"

It's 61 but still humid, humidity is @ 93% this morning. High of 80 for today which is a little better than yesterday.
As long as NO STORMS roll through, we should be fine.

Pixie, your photos look like the ones in our newspaper this morning.....many trees down, flooding, & fires caused by lightning....just an awful storm! High of 80 today...hoping to plant ......

Same here, the storms last night cooled everything off. Of course the downpours & wind were more than we needed, but no hail!
It's 61 and overcast now, sunny this afternoon with a high of 80.

Awakened to thunder & drooling, shaking dog......lots of lightning, but compared to the last storm, not bad....low 70's here for the next few days....I like it!
