I thought Ft. Dix was closed down? Apparently not. No, you are not that close. Wonder what size shells they are using?
Coffee Break # 80
Nope not closed, we're about 14 miles from Mcguire AFB/Ft Dix
The only reason I knew what they were doing was my friend mentioned it the other day on fb, otherwise I would have thought we were being bombed
They must be some HUGE rounds
What I thought was a bad case of a million mosquito bites turns out to be my first case of poison ivy :( I wish I had realized it last week could have done the Tecnu right away. The back of my right thigh and calf are covered and some on my feet from wearing my crocs I guess. More creeping up here and there. Hoping I won't need steroids. Really hoping it doesn't creep up any further on my thigh! Not a fun way to start the summer and watching two kids full time.....whaaa
Ohhh, Ronnie!!! So sorry.
So sorry
Ugh! You poor girl!
Bummer, Ronnie. I was clearing out lots of crap and saw PI all over. I know my legs rubbed into it. I washed with Tecnu when I came in. Hope I did enough. PI is one tough plant. Have found it in very deep shade all the way to full sun.
I've seen over 3ft high here and got it because I didn't think it could grow that tall. Boy, was I wrong!
Ronnie, still use the Tecnu....it will start to dry the PI up.......Yeah, I really hate the stuff!
Get the Tecnu scrub. That has a grit in it that really helps.
Thanks guys♥ Marylin I did start using it as soon as I realized what it was. I'm the cleanest person around, washed my legs 5 times today!
I'll look for the scrub tomorrow. Never even saw the PI growing, and it's in a mess of ivy and other weeds. Now I'm afraid to finish cleaning it up and it's right on the front side corner of the house.
sorry Ronnie... the guy who cuts my lawn does not get it.. grabs it barehanded .. lucky guy... the skedattle has been saving me again this year with skeeters.. I did buy that yard spray for the party next week.. even though it doesn't last that long.. it will give everyone some relief out there
Feel better Ronnie
Leah is 5 lb 7 oz, 18 inches long, I should pull out my laptop to post a picture.
She'll be 8 weeks old Thursday, time flies. She's still just 39 weeks...
grow baby grow!!.. good for her!!
Great to hear, Deb! Nothing like home cooking. ^_^
Great to hear that Leah is doing so well.
Leah's growing fast!
I brushed up against a pi leaf by accident while trying to get rid of some trees that are growing in between our fence and the back neighbors. I went right in and washed with Cortaids pi scrub just in case...most of the pi that was all the way in the back died except for 2 I sprayed them again with round ups pi killer
They're doing more artilliary training tonight...geez how big are these things???
I hear it from West Pt. Gets louder each year.
MIL still having major problems. Diarrhea for ten weeks now. Down to 85 pounds! C diff no longer active so she must be re-worked up. Wife will talk to her doc tomorrow about transferring her back to the hospital. Way easier to do everything there than in a nursing home. And her wound is fine now and she can do rehab elsewhere. We're it not for the diarrhea, she would have been released already. Ugh.
Oh man...maybe a side effect to one of her meds?
Most meds have been stopped. Tried a gluten-free diet - no change. Trying lactose-free now. Will have to do a CAT scan and a colonoscopy.
horrible Victor.. hope they get her fixed up today
Oh no Victor, 85 lbs. Hope you find out the cause.
I planted a dwarf blueberry in a big tub.. would mint be ok to plant with it.. or will it choke it out?
Go, Leah, go Leah!!!!
Yikes!! Don't know the route yet that we are taking when we drive our granddaughter home to Oregon, but will be on the look-out if we take Rt 2 in Montana.
Continued prayers for your MIL, Victor.
Hope arrives later this afternoon. Excitement is building here.
YAY for Leah!!
Victor prayers for you MIL again, hope all goes well and they find the problem.
Happy for you Jan, enjoy!
Going to Sophie's kindergarten graduation this morning, wow time flew faster for her it seems than my kids. I must be getting older too...hopefully I'll make it without itching!
Congrats to Sophie, have fun!!
Wonderful news on Leah!!!!!!
Sorry Victor, hope they find out whats happening...prayers coming your way.
Nice to hear Leah is doing so well, Debi! Photo please!
Victor, hoping they can find the source of the problem....it must be so difficult for you and DW!
Excited for you, Jan! Wishing Hope a safe and healthy arrival!
Ick, Ronnie, hope you feel better soon. PI is nasty stuff!
Thanks, all.
Woke up with one spot of PI where I did not hit with Tecnu. Grrrr!
Grrr...
Congrats to little Sophie. Luvs... I read your last sentence too fast and inadvertently put a b in front of your last word and busted out laughing. Of course I reread it and realized my error. But, sometimes getting older is not fun.
Henry, Luke, and Maggie are here this morning so their mommy can decorate for VBS. They are drawing pictures for Hope. Did you k now that castles have pigtails and belly buttons? I love little kids' imaginations.
Hope there is no belly-button lint!! ;)
Good news for Leah, Debi.....would love to see another photo of her......Victor, hope Your MIL's problem is resolved...very hard on your family......Ronnie, my GD, Anni, 'graduated' kindergarten yesterday.....Jan, have fun with Hope......Allison, what kind of mint? Spearmint is really awful, but I have orange mint & black peppermint that aren't that bad......
it's a new one.. mint mojito
MMM I used some chocolate mint in a mojito
Did you tell her a joke?
Cute!!
I swear she was laughing but is she old enough to laugh? She is a joy for sure.
I'm trying to help out a little, she takes an hour to eat 3-4 oz, and it gets a little tough, so if I can give the kids a break I do. Just feeding her is a full time job. But as I just said, she is a joy.
what a cutie!!!
