Saw major bear damage today on the trail I walk every morning.....he pushed down an old snag, then ripped it apart looking for grubs....Suey couldn't stop sniffing it.....don't know if she could chase a bear away or not....guess I need bear spray......
Coffee Break # 80
They make bear spray?
Pepper spray.
Scary, I might want to look for new place to walk!
Wow, Marilyn! That might have been a closer than comfy sighting! We took a futile drive to Davis Brook daylily farm yesterday (futile because they are open today, not yesterday) and saw so many critters. A mink ran across the road right in front of us, along with 2 separate foxes, 2 deer - one with a teeny faun that ran like lightning across the road after its Mom.....all in the expanse of about 3 hours.
Hank thinks we have finished our new garden and stone wall project...LOL. There are still 2 square inches left that I plan to fill up with DG friends' iris gifts. We all know I have a habit of planting things too close to each other. :). What the heck, it gives me an excuse to move things around the next year! Today I rescued Elaine Strutt from my cramming her in between 2 very healthy heucheras last year. She moved to the new garden along with New Hampshire Heaven from dear Pixie last year. Canadian Border Patrol (one of Hank's) & South Seas.. There won't be many daylilies in this new space. Yeah, ......right! :)
Here's a shot taken this morning:
Thank you, icab....Let me try again.....
That is a little too close to home, RD
We'll just let Hank think it's finished, but we know better. Heehee
Never mind.....i see the improved icab isn't doing well today. :( one more try...
Now they're killing us through our feet.

Be careful Robin!
Hi Everybody,
Louise, I'm so glad you're enjoying those Columbine! I love that flower. Celeste, I am always deeply moved by your stories of Baby Adam. God Bless him.
I'm getting ready to have a yard sale. I've never held one before, but I'm in a well trafficked area and have a lot of stuff to get rid of. Sometimes I gotta wonder how I accumulate so much!
We had three separate thunderstorms blow through today. One had hail!
Have a great weekend!
Harper
Celeste, with that ThermaCell mosquito repellent, how many is necessary for one person?
Harper, we are having a yard sale tomorrow, too. We did one last Sunday, but was not successful. I had a plant sale as well, and I actually made about $150 selling my plants. I was thrilled, and promptly went out and bought some annuals and a birthday gift for my sister and went out to dinner. LOL!
Louise, looking forward to seeing the pic, if you ever get icab to work.
Karen
Hi Folks. I'm catching up on the threads after a scary medical experience this week. I had sudden black floaters that blocked vision in one eye. The opthamologist told me I had a detached retina and I mustn't read or do much until they considered surgery. Then yesterday, after a lot of prodding and picture taking, the Eye Clinic at New England Medical Cr. said I was fine. Big relief but the floaters were like a black magic marker had drawn on one eye's view.
Glad your ok Rosemary!
good for a 2nd opinion. Take care.
I would go for a second opinion as well - to the best in the business. Eyesight is too precious to take chances.
ohhh good luck Rosemary... wish you the best
Wow - scary, Rose. Agree about 2nd opinions.
Ditto to what has been said. Glad you got good news. Scary indeed!
Awful experience, Rosemary! Glad things worked out well....a detached retina is serious....Harper, good luck with the yard sale, hope it's a good one!
Glad your OK Rosemary, scary indeed.
Luci my younger GD failed her vision test at her physical, couldn't identify anything in the left eye and barely in the right. Seemed strange since none of us has noticed any problem. She has an appointment with the eye doc next week.
Thanks, everyone. I have to find out more about this eye stuff. But nothing to do about it today, and the bad floaters are gone. So far nothing quite makes sense since I've not had any migraines to explain the odd perceptual problems.
Rosemary, I often get floaters and eye flashes for migraines and never get the pain.
Domenic gets Baptized today. So different than it used to be, the 'Godparents' don't do anything, the parents do it all and it's a few babies at a time.
Hmmm. Aging means thinks like migraines can develop. Who knew so many things could change?
Have a wonderful baptism day, Ronnie.
Ronnie, my GD, Anni, failed her eye test as well...she needs glasses for reading, and she's only 5! However, both my son & DIL have vision problems, so I'm not surprised.....enjoy the baptism....
that is scary and i agree about getting another opinion
Need to rule out neuro stuff.
my buddy Lance in Va.. could use some prayers for his wife.. they are going through some struggles.. and she took a turn for the worse
Will do, Allison.
You got sweetie!
Sure thing Allison
You got it Allison
Hope everything went well today, Ronnie
Hope you get some answers, Rosemary
Of course.

I'm so sorry, Allison.....prayers & hugs for both of you....
