Doesn't sound like a threat to the community.
Coffee Break # 80
It's a nuclear sub isn't it?
Yes, but the reactor is completely shut down.
but still not good when it's on FIRE!
The nuke part is not, is it?
I think the reactor is in the back and the fire was in the front, but good they got in under control cause that would have been bad
Wow! This is the first I'm hearing about that sub on fire. Scary! They got it under control?
Jan, that sounds like fun. It was pretty darn warm here, too. Felt that way, anyhow. Only in the low 70's, but really muggy. Plymouth, where I work, had a great sea breeze blowing, though, so it wasn't too bad there. I went for a walk early on the beach, and I ended up burnt. Sun was a lot brighter than I thought. I just hope the girl I was with did not get burnt much, or I will be in big trouble with work. I didn't put sunscreen on her. Just didn't think of it. Been so stressed, I'm just not thinking properly. Ugh! I don't have a bad burn, but she has fairer skin than I.
I think that's hilarious about your butt doctor's name! I guess he was the "butt" of many jokes.
Ronnie, sorry to hear you DH is not feeling well after his experience. I have not had that done yet. Next year I turn 50, so I guess I'll have to do it. Don't look forward to it at all.
Didn't get to see Dad today. Hopefully tomorrow. If not, then Sat. for sure.
Karen
Only 4 more days of school left
Graduation is next Friday night for Jeff's school.
Wow - so early, Jen.
From the 'You gotta be *#*^#%!-ing' kidding' file:

Shouldn't the parents be in jail instead for leaving the 17 year old to raise her siblings? What the heck???
That judge is an idiot.
That makes me sad, how can you punish someone for being responsible!?!
sickening
Par for the course these days.
That made me boil inside!!
In this state, the parents would be responsible for abandonment.
That's a sad state of affairs, Victor. Crazy!
I went to check out a nursing home in Cohasset today. Pretty far for us, but it has a 5 star rating, and most of the closer ones that have Alzheimer's/Dementia facilities are rated pretty low. It's not the nicest looking place, though, and I hate to put Dad there, or in any nursing home, for that matter. It hurts my heart to think about it.
It sure was a hot, muggy day, today. Glad the rest of the week isn't going to be this bad.
Karen
Best of luck in your search, Karen! My advice is to opt for one that is close to you, as the best guarantee of quality care is to have family present and showing up at unexpected times.
Tough decision, Karen. I agree you do have to think about your own abilities to visit, too.
I agree with DB and R about poppin in and visiting. Very tough decisions. Big, big hugs, dear!!!
I visited DH's niece in the nursing home yesterday....she has Alzheimers along with Down Syndrome.....she was spotless, dressed with care....even had on a pretty ring & bracelet....she's no longer able to communicate, but I could see she was being treated with respect....whole facility is absolutely clean, shining, & smelling wonderful....although her sister has a very hard time with Sharm being there, I can see it's where she needs to be.....
Prayers are with you Karen to make the best decision you need to. I know how hard that is.
We were invited to a BBQ at my neighbors today, nice that they asked us but we litterly didn't know a soul other than them. The other neighbors that were invited couldn't make it. It was the longest 3 hours ever.
Geeze! How about that crazy episode in Miami with the naked guy eating the face of a man before being shot and killed by the cops?! Seems there is a crazier story each day lately.
Yikes glad I missed that one!
Son read it to me the other day....he was as grossed out as I was!
Military jet just flew over my house on it's way to a celebration......salute to all those who have passed, especially our war heroes.......
Amen and Amen, RD!! Very thankful for those who have given their lives for us.
Today is indeed a day for gratitude. We owe our liberty to the soldiers who risked and gave their all.
Not for the faint of heart. Bullets were too nice.

Ok. "bath salts." Unfortunately this stuff is easy to get, and results in some very odd behaviors, especially if the person is already off balance. I was feeling good for awhile that the east coast hasn't had so much crystal meth to deal with, but we have this problem here too. Maybe we should buy more of those police hockey game tickets. The police see some odd stuff all the time. I think I encountered one at work this year too, but all I could do was send him for psychiatric observation. Then it came to light that there might have been a gruesom crime in another city .Bad stuff doesn't always make it to the newspapers, and certain communities make a point of making it hard for reporters to get a story.
This day is flying!!
Good - cause it's too dang hot.
Looking good!
Looking very good!!
Nice! Being raised, the drainage should be great - ideal JM site!
Smart little pups! That's just what I feel like doing....if you want some plants for that garden, come to Thomaston....
