Baby Adam is doing well and had another round of chemo last Wed. with no serious side effects. The Benefit Dance was held on Sat. night and they raised over $10,000.00 to go towards his hospital bill. We are one big grateful family for all the love and support shown. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

Wow.....amazing amount raised! That is awesome!
Thanks Bill.
Yes Robin, we were totally shocked and ooooh sooo grateful. My niece Lisa, Adam's Grammy...broke down and just sobbed her little heart out.
Great to hear, Celeste!
Thanks Victor. :)
Saw my son run a 5:54 mile. And he still came in third! These kids are good. The first place (8th grader) kid did it in 5:40.
Wonderful to hear of all the support, Celeste! That huge amount says a lot about your family's esteem. Good to hear that Adam is making good progress too.
Karen, I too am hoping that your Dad will be well enough to come home. Keep your positive "Can Do" thoughts. Wishing for the best for you all!
Victor, that's quite impressive about your son's finish. He just keeps making you a proud Dad! Wonderful!
Jan, you and your family continue to be in my prayers as well. Hope the days get better and brighter soon.
Woohoo on his time. My DH started running in junior high and is afraid to stop. He goes about 3 miles each run/3x a week
Great news about the fundraiser for Adam. He is a fighter!!
Thank you, DB. Hugs
Continuing for the best for your dad, Karen
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes for my Dad, everyone. I will be going to visit him again on Thurs. after work and will let everyone know how he's doing. My sis visited him today. He so wants to go home. It will be a long time for that. He is confused. Mostly thought he was at Cozy Corner, his day program, when my sis was there.
Celeste, that's great news about Adam. I will continue prayers for him. He is a trooper.
Victor, that son of yours did very well. Good for him!
Karen

Been trying Truvia in my coffee the past few days. Giving up - yuck! Weird aftertaste.
Never tried it, but I know stevia is a strong sweetener.....great time for the mile run, Victor.....takes me 20 min. to walk a mile every day...of course, that's dragging Suey on her leash!
Guaranteed to make you feel better!!

good to know
Cute video!
My husband had a colonoscopy yesterday and really had a hard time with it...pretty bad pains a fever, doc said that is normal and as long the fever doesn't go over 101not to be concerned, his was 100. They found a few polyps and one was rather large so it took bit longer than a routine one. I think that's why he had so much gas. Feeling a bit better today but certainly not himself. Wasn't overly happy with the doc, he never talked to me just Lou while he was still rather sedated, thought that was odd with the polyps(??)
Will they need to remove them?
They did Jen, I think that's way he is so uncomfortable...hopefully they will be benign but we refuse to stress over it.
Oh yeah, I'd be uncomfortable too!!!
Praying everything is fine for him
Thanks Jen
My DH had polyps removed once.....he never went again, but since they were benign, I didn't worry.....
Yes, they always remove them no matter what. Then they biopsy. When I go, I will opt for the virtual one or the camera you swallow.
crazy
Good thing no homeless guys were in there! ;)
DH went for a gastroscopy and I had to stay while he had it, And be in the room to listen to the results as DH would be groggy.
Cute kid and dogs.
Ditto on the hygiene priority.
You won't find me doing that even with a parachute.
Hopeful the results show they are benign. Next time I go to see Dr. Butt(yes, that is his name and why I chose him. Heehee) for my colonoscopy I want to draw a smiley face there. Everyone is awesome in his office.
An interesting wildflower walkabout today at Tyler Arboretum. It got hotter than I anticipated. I gather that a group of regulars meet for these walks on Wednesday then go to lunch. Anyway, most broke away from the group to meander on their own. My friend and I were the last two left and apparently we were undergoing some kind of physical test to see if we could hang with them in the future. LOL. I guess we passed. Whew, that's a relief! My hip is bothering me though this evening.
Glad you passed the test, Jan! LOL. Sorry to hear you're paying the price with your hip. Bummer. Did you see lots of pretty wildflowers?
Yes, we did. Some had eensy-weeny flowers. And we saw THE biggest snapping turtle ever. Well, maybe not THE biggest, but he surely was a bigun.
Several from the group of regulars had multiple bags hangin g around their necks FULL of guidebooks, for both plants and birds, water, binoculars and cameras. My first thought was that this was hardcore!!! And what in the world was I doin there?
Saw a very cute-looking partridgeberry plant. Anyone have this around their woodlands?
I looked it up in my wildflower book, but it didn't look familiar.....
Yes, Dr. Butt. How hysterical is that? He is very nice, funny, and understandable when he talks. I figure his profession was inevitable. Can you imagine how he was teased? Hope none of those teasers come to him professionally.
Too many easy jokes!
glad all is well Jan!!
Celeste please tell me you are not near that sub on fire up there
