Linda if possible and not too much trouble, add me to the colored Yucca. I've never seen any color other than white and I have 1 of those.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Susie I'm so sorry you are suffering with your Dad. Watching someone you love hurt is heart breaking even if there is something that you can help do. So sorry he is having so much trouble with infections. I'm praying that both you and he will see better days soon. Pretty flowers.

Susie, we have creamy flowered ones that grow wild, never have tried to dig one up though and they are considered thugs here. Are you sure you want one? My gardening friend here has a few at the edge of her yard transplanted from the side of a road either last Spring or the one before, which is also the best time to divide the rosettes and transplant them, according to her. Again, I've never tried.

Such pretties, Faye, and think the same thing when I see so many beauties you and others have shared with me. One the D/Ls you gave me at Manda's RU is blooming. Need to take a pic. It's just been so blasted hot to do anything much except household stuff. Pic is D/L 'Betty Woods' you gave me blooming a few days ago.

And of all days, hubby decided to clean our utility building out. Lots of manly junk went to the dump. Got to give him credit for feeling healthy enough lately to finish a few miscellaneous projects and tackle others. I volunteered to help but all he wanted me to do was move the bins of bird seeds, jugs of Preen, Sluggo, and Miracle Gro fertilizer (so that's where's it been hiding...lol). I swept up while picking out nails and screws...lol Might have defeated the purpose a tad, but stainless fasteners are pricey.

Yes, I was referring to the creamy / white colored Yuccas that grow here and have underground rhizomes. They are common plants growing wild, sometimes alone here and there in patches and other times growing with Ditch Lilies. I've never seen a Red or a Yellow flowered one but they sound pretty.

Hope you can help Susie and Faye with them, LK. I finally found a secure way to mail your stencil, at least I hope I did, and mailed it 1st Class yesterday. I'm sorry to hold up your project but have had a lot going on getting ready for our RU next week-end. You ought to receive it Monday or Tuesday and can't wait to see your finished project!

How's your potting bench with the grate insert coming, happ?

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Susie I am so sorry for your dad. Glad you have help there with you now and so sorry to hear it is possible for it to happen again. Sadly I know that they do relate differently to medicine and treatments and for some reason the manufactorers don't do a lot os testingorany testing on older patient.

Well the end of the potting bench with the grate is done except for getting the bin under it. Otherwise I am not working on the next step at all busy with other stuff.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No hurry fruity, I have been on the road on and off so I still need to do more painting on the headboard.
I will talk to my freinds and see when it is good to dig up and divide.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susie, these are what your looking for? I will ask my friends when is the best time to dig up and divide.

LK those are way cool. My white doesn't look like that but like the pic below, much fatter leaves. The ones I have, the roots go to China and back....

Blue Ridge Mtns, VA(Zone 7a)

That's the kind we have here, happ.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

OK, we have them here too! So many types of yucca plants.

Look how big those kind can get!

Thumbnail by taters55
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Other names for the type I posted above...

Red Yucca
Hesperaloe parviflora
Common Names: Redflower False Yucca, Coral yucca, Red flowered false yucca, Samandoque, Yellow yucca

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

LK that pic of the yucca must be on steriods...rofl. omg that is too cool. The kind I posted grow all over along the roads and stuff. A friend sent her husband out to get me two a long long time ago in the woods behind her house, that is how I know they have roots to china and back. He dug for 2 little yuccas about 2 hours...rofl. I have since lost my friend to ovarian cancer several years ago so those yuccas mean even more to me.

HOT HOT HOT here....humid humid humid here.... I have been mulching and watering in the shade garden. The wind is blowing so that is the only reason we can make it.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Wow! As pretty as the colored Yucca's are, count me out. The only white one I have will be dug, pulled or whatever it takes to get rid of it. Strange, I love it but don't want it all over the place and not being able to control lit. Just getting, no already way to old for heavy digging.. Have had my only white one for 3 yrs. do hope
china isn't to deep.

D/L Pat Bonner..not quite open, and Streets Of Heaven,. Susan did I give you these yet?
Third pic. is: Noid. Before I joined DG and discovered it is important to keep names. LOL never thought I would get addicted to the them.

I had told myself I was not doing any plant swaps or buying any plants until I got everything planted and I have done pretty good well actually really good for me...rofl. Only been in the tropical swap, hosta swap, and I think one other early spring plant swap. But went to our local store Sunday and for 50 cents...yes that is right 50 cents they had perennials on sale, the gallon pot size. I got 3 munster lavenders, 5 hardy salvia, and 3 something else but for the life of me can't remember....geehz. But couldn't pass that up.....rofl.

Those pics of daylilies are so beautiful. That is a nice color to D/L Francis Of Asissi. My daylilies look horrible due to lack of rain, alot of the leaves have turned brown. I can't water everything it is just impossible. Hopefully the showers we had last weekend will help.

I planted my yucca out by the well house in the worse soil known to man and it has not spread. Course I said that about sweet autumn clematis not spreading and I think a year later it is everywhere now.... ;(

Green Mountain Hosta is having a sale if any one is interested. I ordered from them and the plants were really nice.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

& WHO WAS NOT GOING TO BUY ANY MORE PLANTS TILL OTHERS WERE PLANTED :)))))) &
LOOK WHO"S SHOPPING HAP HAP HAPPY :))))))

LOL, hello partners..yep, those of you who are like me and do not want more plants..YEAH Right. I belong to that club and as I'm going into Lowe's people may hear me saying: no more plants, no more plants, and see me with both hands full! Did that very thing Saturday. Just couldn't help myself, as I was walking toward the Semps. a totally different plant/plants were just sitting in the middle of the isle. No way could I get around them without picking them up to get a better look at them. Now I didn't have a shopping cart but they managed to get to the check out when I did.
Here are my beauties:
