I love shoe shopping!!!!!!!!!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Heehee. Me, too, but I have a hard time finding shoes that fit. But, not as hard a time as my grandson, who is now in size 18.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh my!
yeah I love shoes but my foot went wide after having my son :( I had to give away over 100 pairs of shoes

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

100 pairs?!! Wow, Imelda.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Hee hee
I told Jackie that sometimes I just walk around the garden and look at everything, she said sometimes she does that in her closet with her shoes.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yikes!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Jen, DD would need 3 of those.....not kidding either.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

wow...I would probably too if I had a normal width foot

Victor, does it start out green before it darkens to purple?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, it does darken over time.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I sure hope so, it's throwing off my whole color scheme

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

great job Jen.. they are pretty!!!.. I am trying to figure out if I owned 100 pairs of shoes in my adult lifetime.. I doubt it.. even with the converse collection in high school counted

:)

Thomaston, CT

I'd rather buy plants than shoes!

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

me too.

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Santa Rosa Gardens has a 1/2 price sale today. Code is "cinco": Must buy 5 of the same item. Got myself more beautiful Echinaceas.

Norwich, CT(Zone 6a)

Does anyone have sedum "weihenstephaner gold"?
I just purchased 2 today. The change of color with the seasons seemed very appealing.
Everything seems more expensive this year.

Thanks for the info Terri.
Don't have that sedum, looks like a very unique one
Saw some great Aquilegia at Walmart but I resisted

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Sale sounds great thanks. I wonder if Bluestone will have theirs.

Thomaston, CT

I must not look at sales! How many times can I repeat that mantra?

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Just the ordinaria Bapsistia here, I mean the ordinary one.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

That looks like a nice blue.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

no but I like it Jen

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Looks nice.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'm hoping someone has it I want to make sure that it's really THAT blue

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Don't know, Jen. I have Twilight Prairie blues and it's not that blue blue. I would really like that blue, blue, if it really is THAT bluey blue. good luck. Mine are still in bud, so I can't show you.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I just saw twilight at the nursery and it was purple, hope you find out.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The best looking blues in photos turn out not to be.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I am growing blue wild indigo from seed Jen... let you know in 3 years if it's really that color... LOL

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yeah Allison make a note of that so you don't forget 3 years from now, LOL

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

hehe

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I had posted a comment about Twilight Prairie blues . It is purple but mine turned a grey dirty water color. PF has some growing in a garden. The photo from the seller had the color a nice mahogany color.I never saw that. I ripped mine out. There are too many other choices that I wanted to leave something that ugly in the garden.
I wonder if the plant has made it into the favorites anywhere. I bought it the year it came out.

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Wild indigo is a pretty intense blue with a tiny bit of purple tone to it. It's the traditional source of indigo dye. If I lived a mile from here, it would be my idea of fun to grow it in pots near the yellow ground where they used to mine yellow ochre, another famous dye. I doubt anyone thinks much about it elsewhere except to amend it with compost forever and ever .Indigo is also growing in the historical gardens in the area.

There are no pictures for "midnight prairie blues" though, in plant files

Maine, United States(Zone 5b)

Have you guys noticed prices of perennials skyrocketing at your local nurseries? When I started my garden in 2006 the local place had all their perennials in this small looking "gallon" pots for nine bucks, pretty much. The other day I was there and they had some Hakonechloa grass priced at $23! At another place, Hakonechloa 'fubuki' was $18 when last year at the same place it was $10.
