Going to meet Jeff after school to go shoe shopping for him and then dinner.

I had a southwestern BBQ chicken salad....really tasty.....

Bertucci's for dinner. Chicken picata for me and chicken pram for Jeff. Have some for tomorrow.

Loved to see Pixie is eating fiddleheads...tried them once...guess I didn't prepare them right!

OK, I have to know....

Are these fiddlehead crabs or some other type of edible fiddlehead?? Are they stringy?? LOL ☺

Fiddlehead ferns...I thought they tasted like hay.....

We went to our favorite restaurant after church this morning for breakfast. I enjoyed the "Ultimate Omelet". This is a 3 egg omelet filled with cheese (I chose Provolone), bacon, sausage, ham, tomatoes, onions, green peppers and covered with sausage gravy. Probably the best omelet I have ever had and I order it often.

Not Denny's, the restaurant is named "Greek To Me". I forgot Denny's has a very similar omelet. Haven't been to Denny's in a while since we found "Greek To Me". ☺

very late breakfast today at a diner had a western omelet

we were out in the garden all day.. digging hostas & cleaning up.. we are ordering pizza.. both of us are wiped out

My writer's group came with a potluck luncheon...lots of good stuff, especially a turkey tetrazini someone made.....

Ground beef Stroganoffy- type stuff over mashed cauliflower and potatoes and asparagus. I should have done mashed taters like this when the kids were little. It was very good

Turkish Lamb Casserole with Red Bell Peppers and Scallions. The recipe said to serve with crusty bread to sop up the juices and they were right! There was nothing left for the dog to lick.

(Random thought: If your crusty bread is made in Turkey, would that be an Istan-boule?)

I have never cooked lamb before. Mom never fixed it during my childhood, because she said that when she was pregnant, the smell of lamb cooking made her nauseous. I will have to try it sometime.

I really like pork and sweet potatoes.

The only lamb I now do is grilled little chops....I used to make leg of lamb, but now I don't want leftovers.....

Just found out I am hosting a small group here tonight. Yippee!! Hostess is sick so it's moved here. What am I doing on DG you ask? Jeff will be tutoring after school and we are having leftovers. I have a cake in the oven, I had already stemmed 2 qts of fresh strawberries, and I have decided -it is what it is-. Not gonna stress.
