Very cool! Took long enough to properly honor him!

Not a fan of awards shows here, either.

Great shots and blog, Andy! Thanks for sharing.

Went to see Finding Nemo in 3D this past week. Love that movie. Personally I don't care to pay extra for 3D, but I was taking one of my special needs ladies to see it, so it's paid out of petty cash.

Only a few more weeks till the Walking Dead 3rd season premiere. Can't wait!

Was it worth seeing in 3D?

Really want to see the new Series on ABC 'Last Resort'

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Way past tired of 3D everything.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Makes me dizzy.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

To me there's not a whole lot of difference seeing a movie in 3D or 2D. I enjoy a movie just as much in 2D.

Have not heard of Last Resort, Jen. I wanted to see Vegas tonight on CBS, but got caught up in a movie on Netflix called Girl Interrupted. That was really good. Will catch Vegas on demand another day.

Jen, just looked up Last Resort. Sounds good. You'll have to let me know how you liked it.

The only movie I thought really deserving of 3D was Scorcese's "Hugo" (recently rated one of the 8 best movie clocks!)

So are you saying Nemo in 3D wasn't worth the extra $?

I started to watch Vegas last night and totally couldn't understand anything that was going on, which I guess is a good thing I don't need to get into another show

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

That depends of how you look at it, Jen. I really love the movie, regardless of whether or not it's in 3D, so it was nice seeing it on the big screen. If you spending the extra dollars doesn't leave you short, go for it.

I will catch Vegas soon. How was Last Resort?

Don, I have not seen Hugo.

Last Resort premieres tomorrow night, I'll let ya know how it is

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

RIP Andy Williams. Christmas is synonymous with him.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Emmitt was great and so was Shawn, oh and Apollo and I just love Joey

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Heard that.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I'm really interested in seeing what's up with Justin Beiber's pants. NOT!!!! LOL!

Watched Stephen King's Bag Of Bones tonight on Netflix. Really good. I've read the book, too, but it had been awhile, so I was vague on a lot of the details.

Besides the Panther series, Lom was also great in "Phantom of the Opera", "Ladykillers", and many others.

Yes - very good character actor.

I saw a very good documentary on demand on Netflix today called The Elephant In The Living Room, about the rapidly growing problems of people who keep exotic pets. They particularly focused on one man who lived in Ohio and kept a pair of African lions, one of which he raised from a cub, a male named Lambert, and a female he got for companionship for his male. He was very attached to them, especially to Lambert. He had them for about 4 years, and about the third year the female had a litter of 4 cubs, one of which died. He raised them like they were his kids. Anyhow, he eventually had to give them up, as caring for them was becoming too physically demanding for him. I won't say anything more in case anyone else wants to watch it. I highly recommend it. It was really done very well.

I don't believe in keeping exotic animals as pets, most of them, anyhow, and especially if the person is not capable of taking proper care of them, as in good vet care, etc. But I especially thing the more dangerous ones should not be messed with. What's wrong with domestic dogs, cats, pigs, horses, etc?

Yes, dangerous to keep "exotics"; illegal for a reason !

A guy in NYC showed up in an emergency room some years back with 2 puncture wounds from the incisors of a "big cat" (a tiger or something), and the authorities had a heck of a time shutting down his apartment!

(Remember, our tax dollars pay for these chores.)

Why do people skip common sense?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

watched a good doc. called Senna about a F1 driver from Brasil back in the 80's. was pretty good.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

BA, unfortunately it's not illegal in many states to keep these exotic, dangerous pets. That man in Ohio who got the lions did so when it was legal. A friend gave him a cub. Anyhow, since then they have passed, or are trying to pass a law now making it illegal. They said there are more tigers in the state of TX than there are in India in the wild. Crazy!

I saw a great documentary today about the elephant keepers in India called Queen Of The Elephants. Indian elephants are endangered in the wild. Most elephants over there in captivity are treated with great respect and love and care, unlike most elephants kept for circuses. Those elephants have a sad life.

Speaking of elephants, here's a great story of a friendship between an elephant and a dog. http://youtu.be/cBtFTF2ii7U

That was a sweet segment about the elephant and her "friend"; if only 6 billion humans could get along that well !!!

Good bye, Andy Williams; thank you for the dulcet (?) tones. You were perceived as "boring" by those of us who were youngsters, but I now see your true gift. Thank you.

We watched The Avengers last night. Was fun!

It's already on my list...your endorsement moves it further up "the list."

Thanks !
