I didnt realize he was soooooo annoying until this season. He is cruiseing on his old accounts and not really active in the firm. I see trouble brewing too. Don doesnt like him. Heck he doesnt even like himself.

Ohhh gawd! ! ! I love drunks who are trying to sound so profound and cerebrial. Its ironic how when they are the least pulled together, they try to sound sooooo deep and with it.
I am not a temprence person by any means but alcoholics are sad and tradgic. Ex SIL proclaimed he was a "functioning alcoholic" for years .His friends and family tried to get him treatment.
He asked his wife for a divorce and lost 2 jobs. He still wasnt looking at the big picture.
They don't
Alcohol is also a depressant. He shot himself just before Crismiss. I was relieved when he asked my daughter for a divorce. She quickly agreed. Little did he know we were all relieved,he had made her life utterly mizerable for 23 years.
He believed the divorce was his last act of controle. How naieve. He wanted to come back 3 years later. He was gently turned away for 6 months. I guess the depression got him.
Sorry this isnt much Entertainment.
Lets move on with the guy who can sing Queen from the back of a squad car.LOL

I read The Hunger Games and couldn't put it down. It was awesome! Takes place in the future, where our country is basically run like a dictatorship, and they have these games every so many years (2, I think it is), where they choose 2 young people from each district to participate. They have no choice about it, they are forced into it. It's a game where they are put into this huge arena with varied terrain. They have to live by their wits and survive. Kill or be killed. Only one person survives in the end, and is richly rewarded. It's a game that is televised all over the districts. By the second book you find out some people are trying to rise up against the government. I have not read book three yet.
Victor, I enjoyed Captain America, too. I love the Marvel movies.
Bill, I love Shameless also.
I saw the season finale of The Walking Dead a few weeks ago. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

My family is passing around the books. I am not a reader and feel left out but they sure get lifted off their seats when they talk about it
I saw The Hunger Games tonight, and was impressed. Nearly as good as the book (the book is always better). I liked the actors they picked for the characters. Spot on.

We saw Cabin in the Woods yesterday. I don't think it is a plot I've seen before, believe it or not. It was done by Joss Whedon, who is a "god" in the geek and scifi circles.
Would you reccommend it, Evie?
Karen
Sorry, I left that out didn't I? Yes, I would. It is marketed as horror, but it is more than that. It isn't out to scare you, not to me at least, but tips its hat to horror movies. Kind of hard to explain :) But yes, I recommend it (my husband hates horror and was totally fine with it - didn't jump once).
Dick Clark died

Too bad Dick Clark became a punch line to old/young jokes (I might have made a few myself!), because he really did open the doors to different kinds of music. R.I.P.
Wait a minute!!!! Johnathan Frid died at 87.Wasnt he the vampire in Dark Shadows?
Isnt there a movie out about that show?
Johnny Depp is starring in "Dark Shadows" (the new film). The commercials are showing a tongue-in-cheek, almost humorous angle.
He is reuniting with director Tim Burton.
I thought of Edward Scissorhands when I cut myself the other night.
I loved that movie
Yes - very good.
Might have to check out Cabin In The Woods, Eevie.
I too, love Edwar Scissorhands. Looking forward to Dark Shadows. Looks really good.
Too bad about Dick Clark.
Karen
