Is that like itunes or spotify?
Entertainment # 11
Don't know spotify. You create your own stations by choosing an artist. Then they play their songs, as well as others similar in type. You give each song an up or down thumb and it creates the playing list. A down thumbed song will never be played again. You put up with some ads and an occasional break, but it's very tolerable. It is free so you expect that.
I downloaded it a while ago.. never really use it much
Can you transfer those songs to a mp3?
Doubt it. Not legally, anyway.
Spotify is free and you can
Longtime Cosmo editor, Helen Gurley Brown, dead at 90.
Red Sox great Johny Pesky passed today at 92
I posted that on Sports.
Jeepers, I'm strange, because I loved BOTH of 'em, Johnny Pesky (the "Pesky Pole" is named after him at Fenway Park), and Helen Gurley Brown...for my antiquated sexual liberation....(I was born in the 1950's).
Wow, I'm a strange duck.....
I think there might be a connection between a Pesky Pole and sexual liberation????
I thought about that as I was typing, but I decided to leave Sigmund Freud out of the loop, and I still continue to *pretend* to be a proper Bostonian.
(But I'm horrible: during the horse-racing season, I always watch the "Breeder's Cup"; and I'm always disappointed.)
Shame, shame, shame on me...I must have had a past life in an ancient Roman court.
Proper Bostonian. Hmmm...
Anything that props up is Bostonian, by definition...ask Aerosmith !!!
(Maybe some plastic surgery for those guys?)
Or embalming??
Maybe we should "prop" those guys in a corner for...ummm...200 years.
Would anyone know the difference? I'm so old, I remember them when they were a LOCAL band.
Gosh, aging is a pain in the neck...(choose another word, if you prefer.)
Like Paycho? I can see a whole group of these barely alive rock stars - all the Rolling Stones, Stephen Tyler, Tom Jones...
tom jones is a rock star?
Ha Ha HA!!!! Not in my book.
Okay, pop star. Anyway, entertainers who should never come out in public!
Wow - is there a Welcome Back Kotter curse?? Now Horshack died at 63. Only leaves Travolta from the four sweathogs.
Everyone dies sometime
Profound, Jen. ^_^ They all died young.
Not a real mystery, "Horshak" was a long time heavy smoker, who died at 63 of a heart attack.

Steroids?? Was a big guy.
He was HUGE
I was of mixed feelings about this post, but finally decided that it was entertaining (to everyone but me).
We had our dress rehearsal of H.M.S. Pinafore last night. The costume crew was decimated by illness and they barely got me Sir Joseph Porter's silk trousers by show time. All went well til the final curtain calls. As I stepped up and bowed, the temporary stitching gave way and my pants dropped to my ankles! (Luckily I had white tights on underneath.) Unfortunately the majority of the audience and cast thought I had planned it that way! I may never convince them that it was a wardrobe malfunction.
Wow! I am sure you took it in stride.
Sorry, not funny, heehee
because you took it in stride.. that's why they won't believe you.. good for you!!!.. must be a pro!!!
rotfl
LOL! Too funny!
Watched Gran Torino with my sister and nephew yesterday. Love that movie. Clint Eastwood is usually really good.
Waiting anxiously for the 3rd season of The Walking Dead to start. Not for another month.

Who says stage work is dull.
I guess I'm getting older:
Emmy Awards = snooze
And to think these are the best of the best. The show was a bit draggy.I was able to go to sleep at 9 o'clock. I watched Homeland.Thats the kind of gripping writting that puts regular cable shows on the back burner.
Have not watched in decades (no exaggeration). I would not even know any of the shows nominated.
I can't stomach any of those award shows anymore
I am with you guys.. haven't watched in years
Hi folks. I had a great time at the unveiling of the 22 foot tall Rocky Marciano statue yesterday. Did I post a link to the statue assembly blog last week? That was fascinating but the big hoopla was Sunday.
Like the awards shows it was too long but this means a lot to our fair city. The guests gathered at Georges Cafe for lunch to arrive in good spirits. Here's boxing promoter Don King looking at Larry Holmes.
