Started snowing before I went to bed but nothing on the ground when I woke up

28° & light smattering of clouds. still feels cold to me.

It was 28 when I walked, 32 right now, balmy...it will feel like summer this weekend when it goes into the 40s....great Jan. weather!

I misspoke. 31 was the current temp when I posted. Higher now. ;)

41° right now and cloudy

40 and sunny. the snow is gone.

38° dry earlier, but sounds like rain now. Will check on that later.

This is bizzare - it's 61 degrees outside! My roses are putting out new leaves and one is even trying to create a new blossom . . .

Was 58 here....my butterfly bush never lost its leaves.....

We were in Annapolis today for our Christmas as well as a DGD's birthday. Most of it was spent outside in shirtsleeves. It was a great party even though there were about 20 little kids there. She had 4 stations with a different craft at each. Broke the kids up into groups and rotated them after so many minutes at each. Then outside for the piñata, cake , presents and some free play. Oh and when they first got there they went to the basement for some pictionary. The only boys were my 2 grandsons. I don't think that type of party would go over well with mostly boys. Just remembering what it was like with just 4 boys. All of that to say it was warm there. When we got home the car thermometer said it was 57 outside and that was about 8:30.

Sounds like fun Jan! We didn't get anywhere near as warm as you guys did, but it hit 40, a little over in some spots.

36 here people at church were saying how warm it was. Better than the 20s but don't think 'warm'. Evidently a flock of robins has been working over winterberry bushes in the courtyard there.

Today: Sunshine and clouds mixed. Morning high of 31F with temps falling to near 20F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight: Mainly clear skies. Low 12F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

38 and sunny. warm is relitive since we had temps in the 20's for highs last week.

Yes, not as warm today as yesterday, but it's 42, with puffy white clouds.....windy on top of the dam......

Mid and high forties today, no wind and sometimes the sun came out. A good day to check the mulch and treat the dog to a walk.

Read the nature column in today's paper....a yellow warbler was found on the Christmas bird count, along with 4 different species of herons....rare to find them in CT this time of year....
