The weather worsened during the day as the wind began gusting.....5 predicted for tonight....just checked the oil level in my tank!

Very cold out there! Clear skies will hold no heat in tonight. Down to 19 already.

Wind in the winter is like humidity in the summer, and then their roles change. Wind is nice in the summer and so is humidity in the dry winter!

With wind chill it's -3 right now.

We might as well be up there! Cold and very windy today with low 30's tonight. I know....no sympathy from y'all up there! Lol. Stay warm everyone!

Pellet stove will be running all night

I don't know what they did wrong when they poured the cement pad for the patio under the deck(here before we got here) but it heaves everytime it's really cold and makes this loud booming noise that shakes the house....scares the bejeebes out of me everytime it does that....the first time it happened we thought something blew up

I haven't the foggiest idea what they did wrong but as soon as hubby opens his wallet a little we'll get that whole thing redone...we want to take part of the deck down and do a paver patio instead....it is WAY too hot up on that deck, of course he is talking about getting the pool this year so maybe that will be included I'm not holding my breath...

Heard on the radio tody that someone had their entire deck stolen while away!

The sun came up, the wind increased and we dropped down to1 degree, with the wind chill it makes it approx. -11.
The furnace hasn't stopped. :(

We were supposed to go down to 5 last night, but have no idea if it did...I need a weather station! Walked when it was 16 this morning, but no wind, & the sun was strong, so almost pleasant....

25° when I just turned on the computer. Messing up last night as evidently something had to turn off & I didn't know about it. 7° earlier this morning.

At about 8 tonight, the earth was at its closest point to the sun in its orbit. Did you feel the warmth? Yeah, me neither. ^_^ The seasons have a much bigger effect.

25° still. supposedly warm air is coming. In the 40s but that would be warm & unusual in Jan.

But the side that was the closest was the south pole...those ice caps are melting didn't you hear?.....LOL

Much better this morning, we are @ 18 degrees (our high for yesterday) heading up to 30 today. :)

It snowed last night and left a thin coating over everything. Cloudy today with a high of 31 expected.
