Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Randy and I are torn... we think he should do it forever.. but cringe if he messes up the countdown.. was painful 2 years ago.. better last year.. hopefully this year he will be better

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

He has earned the right to decide for himself.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Maybe if ratings for his show drop low enough he'll get the hint

Hillsborough, NC(Zone 7b)

Beef short ribs braised in wine sauce, mashed potato, carrots, tomato and mozzerella salad, bread, choco ice cream and a few choco covered cherries!

Today, I make a pea soup from the ham bone.

East Bridgewater, MA

Wow, I haven't had authentic pea soup in decades! Hope it turns out great!

The perfect usage for piggy parts: old fashioned soup flavoring!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh yes - we always use a ham bone when making split pea soup. We prefer the yellow peas.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

pork roast and sauerkraut in the oven. I made pretzel bread yesterday. DH's cousins and sister will be here@ 1pm. dinner about 1:30.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

a couple of neighbors came by last night.. great timing for a big ole pot of chili .. they brought some beer from Bridgewater Corners, VT... Blackbeary Wheat / Long Trail... was really good.. and I am not a huge beer lover

Thomaston, CT

Doug liked Long Trail.....I made both corned beef & fresh brisket, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, lemon chess pie.....sent almost everything home with my family, but kept enough corned beef & pie for tomorrow.....

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Yum. It all sounds delish. Our New Years menu, now that the Christmas turkey is gone, has been homemake pizza. We had friends over last night. To make the pizzas special, we made the dough in our bread maker, put out a large array of fresh toppings, and we used three cheeses: mozzarella, asiago, and romano. The pizzas were a big success.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Went out to Olive Garden to use gift cards we had

Hillsborough, NC(Zone 7b)

Well, baby sat and no pea soup. But will do this morning. We use green and yellow peas - whatever is in cupboard. Pretzel bread sounds good.. I had to fix something quick so made broccoli and macaroni soup. It didn't taste as broccoli- ish as it should. As a matter of fact, the broccoli didn't taste as intense when not in the soup. ( prior to ).. This was organic and 20 cents per pound cheaper. Fresh Market. Organic should not be different... Right?

Along with it fixed breaded and fried veal cutlet, mashed potato with sauted onions and red pepper, salad.

Today the pea soup and a hunk of bread. THEN THE NEW YEARS DIET! Goodbye Cruel Thighs or I will need to join the circus!

Thomaston, CT

Threw all the cookies away....didn't have to throw the chocolate away because I already ate it.
