Best/Worse/??I learn today? Come sit a spell, all welcome!

Betty, remember I told you Paul was bit by a spider, and almost lost his arm. He was VERY sick for a long time.

YOU definately need to call that doctor tomorrow....and tell him. As Thunder and the others said...there are particular tests they can run for those type things. AND...if not ordered, all your blood work would look fine...when you are actually very sick and undiagnosed.

Do not give me the run around woman.....I am gonna get all worked up because you are NOT behaving yourself. Do you want me to get all worked up? You know I don't handle the stress that well. (Hehehe hows that for guilt!))

Hello To All !

YAY Liz ! Good going Crissy ! I LOVE Icicles.... in fact almost bought a bunch.. the *only* negative about getting the tree together was the girls snickering about how much I love my tree covered in silver... so of course they *don't*....

Had a thought to cover the D**n thing LOL. It's MY TREE TOO ! But any way ... great gifts !
Katie - Thanks for hanging in there with us gal ! We need you too ! I believe you and Tony are Angels for each other.
Betty you had me laughing out loud RE: The shorts....
Of course I agree with the ladies... spider bite might have been worse than you thought. It surely looked horrible..I remember the gash in your forehead....

((HUGS)) I'll pop back in a bit...

Oh Thank heavens Linda Kay! That little one needs some more time with Mama safe and sound tucked inside. Sure hope she listens!

I had PT tonight...and I can barely move! OMG they worked me, even though in the pool. Was in there for 1 1/2 hours straight! I have lost so much muscle mass they said and I really need to go at least twice a week.

DH and I went grocery shopping afterwards and to Arbys for dinner. Didn't get home til about 9:15...so was a long day! (we left home at 4:00).

I need to relax for a bit..maybe do a puzzle. lol I am a bit wound up.....snow anticipation. I hate snow. Now they say, depending on wind and all that....we could get up to 12 inches!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Did same

Just got in, snow is just at the verge of sleet! Glad I'll be in sewing all day

Think posts gals would like to get organized before customers come in..2 Fridays I'm sitting at the door..

Complained at grocery store..they have if you buy $50 worth of groceries you get free turkey bucks..I spend that easily every few days but not at once living on my own, so no turkey bucks for me. Lol

Off to sew

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I found this this morning and thought I would share. My Mom gave it to me years ago.....

MAKING OF FRIENDS
If nobody smiled, and nobody cared and nobody helped us along,
If every moment looked after itself and good things always went to the strong,
If nobody thought just a little about you and nobody cared about me,
And we all stood alone, in the battle of life, what a dreary old world this would be.
Life is sweet, just because of the friends we have made and the things which in common we share,
We want to live on, not because of ourselves, but because of the people who care.
It is doing and giving for somebody else, on which all life’s splendor depends,
And the joy of this world, when you’ve summed it all up,
Is found in the making of friends.
Edgar Guest

Victoria Harbour, ON

Ohhh teary eyed Barb that is lovely!!

Now you all know you mean as much to me as friends who live nearby..family whom I see here and there..you my friends live with me daily..you smile, I smile..you cry I cry, you worry, I worry! Just know you live in someone's heart.

Sewing, had a bit of problem with the stippling..wasted an hour. I'm now up to same place on all 3 quilts, have to make a decision as to if I think they are wide enough or not..wish you were here to help me decide

Judy, waving..know you are busy, busy but please no more lurking, quick 'hi' will suffice.

Anxious for all to start their craft project..will take time this afternoon to add the next set of instructions.

Sitting here seeing foot prints from the furries on the floor, will take an hour out of my busy schedule to sweep/wash and dust upstairs then I won't feel so bad about sewing all day

Dianne, no mailman?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

well, interesting news today at work
My boss signed my Agency timesheet today, and said "you're a contractor?" He wondered why I was only working 8:30 to 4:30 when they needed me from 8:00 to 5:00..... He said he'd check with his boss about getting me on more hours per day.
After he left my desk I went to his and asked "didn't you know I was a contractor? They told me the company wanted me to be a temp for 3 months before hiring me". He said "but there's a hiring freeze on! Milton is leaving though and they have no one to replace him - do you know Microsoft Scheduler?" I told him it would be easy for me to learn and he said he knew it would.
So, now I don't know if they'll keep me and hire me into this position, or if Neil could get them to replace Milton with me.....
I'm a little distraught right now......... I don't know what my future is.......

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I don't know who has me as their Christmas buddy - things take so long to get through customs either way.
I sent my buddy's stuff yesterday and she will get it mid next week.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sounds like they will keep you on Susan..no fretting!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sounds like it to me too Susan!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I agree also Susan. Sounds like they are really going to need you!!!!
Great job on Deb's gift Suse. I can tell you know her well.... So very thoughtful. Just like mine was too....

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

It would be a Head Office decision - that's in Montreal, and as I've learned the hard way - Head Offices don't care about the individual - it would be a company decision.
And no, from my experience, they won't keep me on. I'm not trained in MS Scheduler, and just because my boss says they need me from 8-5 doesn't mean it would be approved.
I'm being realistic. Pray for me, please.

mulege, Mexico

Wish I could send all of you some of our lovely weather. Beautiful blue skies and a temp of about 60 F. Tony and I shiver in the morning and laugh about those if you who are up to your ears in snow.

I am very achy today. Have continue to gather my Christmas animals to check over. My bed is covered with them. The dogs check them out but accept my "no." (though I closed off my bedroom when I came into town - not sure I trust them when I'm not there.) I've gradually found ribbon, etc to make bows. Glad I have time as I feel like I'm moving molasses. Not depressed, just slow and foggy. My right arm is much better. Tests, X-rays, etc never showed anything.

I'm so grateful I don't have to deal with work anymore. I know a lot of my being an angel to Tony is that I am a better boss to him than he's ever had before (and better than I ever had). I'm grateful to be able to do this for him and not to need it for myself.

Saul is back from his shopping tip for his store. I'll go see what goodies he's brought back then go home and work on the animals. If I don't have to move around much I don't think I'll feel so sore. Dog dinner is cooked so I don't need to move around I just hate it when I can't.

Neighbor Dana has done a wonderful job is rehabilitating a dog that had been severly mistreated. It could only walk dragging its back legs behind it. She was afraid it might have a broken back but after a few wekks with her she is now walking and pulls herself up on all fours when her back legs go out from under her. I was tearing up seeing the improvement. The dog's new home will be with the other woman that Tony works for!!

My dogs are all doing fine. They follow Tony around as he works, especially if I am helping. It gets quite funny at times as work areas tend to get crowded.

This is being the best holiday season I've had, maybe ever. Besides being my angel, Tony is my rock. I told him so today. We tend to have out who-appreciates-the-other-more contests. Work on the kitchen is continueing as is the outdoor work.

Our cups runneth over and hope it is the same for all of you.

love and hugs, katie

Susan, remember this from yesterday? Your very own words ...
God watches out for me, surely.[/quote]

I believe He is still watching over you. Keep your positive attatude girl! I'm here praying for you.

Dianne, how are you after your dentist apt, and how is Santa Warren today? He must surely be having fun watching us having all this fun with our swaps. Thanks again, y'all ... This has been soooo much fun!

Lyndonville, NY

If my mind is not totally shot.....I believe Dianne and Warren are off to Kingston to an appointment to get him checked out at the Clinic. Dianne was a bit worried about him & his coloring....very tired.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

thank you, Suse. I needed a reminder of this.........

Thanks Deb ... Maybe she'll be able to post when they get home.

Susan, {{{ }}}

Thanks, Suse

Bath is running, Ann and Cathy just left..I've managed to accomplish much but know I'd end up pulling out stitches being so tired and continuing sewing so I'll relax, wrap some Christmas gifts and early to bed.

Katie, I'm so glad that you are up on Christmas this year..everyone has an earthly angel, how wonderful that yours has the name Tony! Some of us have them but we don't choose to see them. As for the weather, send me some of your sunshine! All kidding aside, I don't mind the winter, perhaps not blizzards but even then it's a pretty sight. Driving and looking at the lines all laden with snow makes you feel as though you are in another world..I think I'll keep my winters!

Am sure Dianne and Santa Warren will be exhausted when they return..weight of the world is on Dianne's shoulder, sure wish there was something else we could do..guess praying is about the best we can do..

Lyndonville, NY

Can you all believe I had a good soak in the tub and have my Pjs on already. SO not me. I just ache all over.

DH is talking about Chirstmas shopping tomorrow and trip to Sams club. Sadly it is one of the only days we have to do it.

Child drama. "The Childs" boyfriend dumper her today....this after giving her a ring for her birthday two weeks ago. Have mercy...why do these children get invovled like that at such a young age. My weekend will be dramatic.

OH, speaking of weekend....Carries birthday is Sunday. Going over to Jeannas (oldest) as she redid the kitchen and we are having her birthday celebration there. She is going to be SO SO surprised. We went in together and got her a kitchenaide mixer.....which she has wanted for YEARS. Being the middle child....she often gets overlooked, especially birthday right before Christmas.....wasn't having that this year after all she has helped me.

OK, need to rest....and maybe send DH out for some ice cream!

Debbie
