irisMA, it has been cold all day here in Hopkinton as well. It was freezing when I went out to photograph the sunrise (attached photo).

onewish1, thanks! I stayed outside for as long as I could stand. I took photos of the western sky which was full of gray clouds but those photos didn't have enough light so they turned out black.

This morning is warmer and I didn't feel like running indoors when I took this photograph. The temperature is 30 degrees and is increasing.

Overnight low was 12 F and it is now 14 F. Time to mulch the baby peonies with straw. I left the camellia pot on the deck by mistake, but it looks OK tho the buds stayed closed.

21 here. Warming up today, though.

Very cold morning....16 here....but it warmed to 42...those sure are wintry photos, DoGood!

It claims to be 43° but I don't believe it.

ROBINDOG, yes bare trees are a classic winter scene. The first one looks especially cold due to the navy blue sunrise.

Temp in the 40s now. It was down in the teens last night.

WOW! What a difference a day makes! It's 34 here's this morning and our high for the day is only 32....strange.

much better here too... 46 now going to 44???.. LOL.. wonder if that's right
