Get well soon, Celeste, and everyone else! Our overnight lows are reading around 22 F but it's been warming up in the daytime to 50+. Personally, I'm running on adrenaline at the moment, the one best thing I know to keep colds from overtaking.

Hope Celeste and Jan feel better soon. Seems like lots of people in my family have gotten sick this week, too. Hot tea with honey always soothes my sore throat, although it doesn't cure it.

5K for Christmas - that is a lot of shopping Celeste - should we send you out gift list :) Feel better soon.

I just had an Alfred Hitchcock moment. I felt like I was in "the Birds". I heard lots of chirping, so looked out the window and a sea of birds were darting this way then that. It looked choreographed. It lasted about 30 seconds then they continued on their way.

The furniture on the deck got re arranged again. Brisk here today.

Had some heavy rain yesterday, was sunny and mild but windy earlier and now cloudy.

It was warmer than predicted, but cold in coming. Leaves still lying around & we are cutting a few hemlock branches for church.

Cold, windy, wet and snowy

Finally over the worst of this cold I think, my ears don't hurt(finally) can swallow normal food again and I can breath. The last 2 weeks have been longs ones. :(

The wind we got yesterday did do some damage in areas, passed an X-Terra like mine with half a tree on it. It was parked in their own yard so hopefully home owners will cover it.

It's 28 degree's now and the winds are finally calm. High of 30 for today.

Oh, I certainly hope that snow is not headed here! Temp is 40, but shouldn't get much higher today....lots of branches down on Wigwam Rd. where I've been walking Suey.....some lady stopped & said a bear was on the road a few days ago....not cold enough to hibernate I guess, & someone left a deer carcass along the road...guess that enticed him.....

38° & mostly cloudy. Snow is predicted to the northwest but probably not here. Went north to the Best of Britain store & picked up plum pudding & hard sauce. It was blowing too hard yesterday & DH didn't want to drive across the marsh.
