Rained Tuesday, rained yesterday and now i'm watching the rain turn to big heavy flakes. It's 39 and dropping, our high for today is only 36.

woke up to the deck frozen .. flooding in north jersey again.. going to be a joy working today.. 34 now going to 45

Currently 34 degrees and clear. Snow showers expected for later, and lake effect snow expected for tomorrow.

LOTS of rain since Tuesday night - 3.35", bringing the total for the year to an astounding 85"!!!

We are very soggy, too!

We are now about double the normal average for a year!

36° 4" of rain overnight. DH says that would have been about a foot of snow.

Weatherman said 2011 is the wettest year ever in CT...didn't sleep a wink, the wind was so dreadful along with thunder & lightning! Many more branches are down....not a lick of snow, but there was a dusting just to the north of me.....I'm sure the farm picked up a few inches....

Cold! I knew it would be tough once it finally got here.

I wonder if the cold will bother the daylily foliage which is still green. It usually has died back by now.

The weather forecasters were right. We have about two inches of snow on the ground with more falling. 'Tis the season.

My son's town won the state's snow lottery yesterday with 3.5 inches...it's always cold up there...nice here, sunny, & going up to 45......so far, a nice December!

35 and cloudy. had a dusting of snow this am, it has melted.

Lot's of frost out there this morning. This might be the "hard freeze" that needs me to mulch all my rose bushes and plants. According to so many "authorities", the mulch must go down when the ground is finally frozen so that some of the freeze and thaw activity is minimized.

23 here. Brrrr. At least there is no wind. Clear as a bell.

Supposed to warm up later in the week. I need it since I still have not planted my bulbs! Doh!!
