that is breathtaking!
She's about to...6... Fall is here!
:)
I bet you all had a great time, Fruity, wish I could of been with you all. I met friends on Saturday and hit another craft show, we have so much fun, then regular store shopping and then to lunch.
Going to my little sisters house for Thanksgiving, this will be the first "holiday" without my Mom. My older sister is a drama queen even in 'normal' times, her son is leaving the Friday after Thanksgiving and will be gone for 18 months, so this holiday isn't looking good.... oh well...what doesn't kill you will make you strong right?
Ditto what Amanda said! It was a rare treat indeed.
But not as rare as the Loch Ness. I think it could happen again, and I'll be famous if I can get a picture. :D
Sure it is not two plants in one pot? That is pretty!
What a pretty sight, Neener. :)
Nope one tree in there. It originally was three braided together and the other two bit the dust. I think maybe something is just reverting to true form.
Just keep it watered Debra. If it has put up all those leaves and no stem by now it probably isn't going to bloom this year. Normally they send up the buds first and the leaves last. Just in my experience.
Hello everyone! You are the most, and the sweetest friends on earth. This is the first time I've been on in a few days and bless each of you! I read your concerns and actually teared up. To think you care that much for me. The C T Scan was normal. One more test and that one is Dec. 12th. Thank you so much for caring and for your prayers. No way can I ever tell you what's in my heart. Love you all.
Faye
(((((((((((( HUGS ))))))))))) for you Faye, praying all your test come out good!
Love that picture. Is it near your place!
(((((Faye))))) We all love you, Lady!
Tomorrow will be another busy day in the kitchen prepping side dishes for the Thanksgiving feast hubby, me, my MIL and a friend of hers will enjoy. Might have one more friend join us if she's back home from working out of town. I asked hubby this morning if he'd invited his Mom for Thanksgiving...not yet he said. So before she called this afternoon, I suggested instead of inviting her, which she'd probably turn down, to just say be ready Thursday around 1 o'clock and he'd pick up her and her friend. That worked like a charm and she's thrilled. So far this is what's on our menu.....
Butternut Squash Soup
Shrimp Cocktail (I was going to get fresh oysters but OMG they were $15 for a pint in brine!)
14# Fresh Turkey I picked up today
Mac & Cheese
Cornbread Dressing and Giblet Gravy
Deviled Eggs
Roasted Asparagus (oh yeah!)
Sweet Potato Souffle (which really isn't and is just what my Mom called it)
Honey Glazed Carrots and baked Fingerling potatoes
Crescent Rolls (couldn't resist picking up a roll of Amish butter today)
Lemon Meringue Pie courtesy of Mrs. Smith's...lol
Coffee, Tea, and Wine
Hubby and a bunch of his buddies are going hunting in the morning on their leased land and maybe again tomorrow evening. I sure hope so and I'll have the house and kitchen all to myself!
Your Menu sounds wonderful, Fruity..
this Thanksgiving will be extra special, with my sister and niece coming, and with Joe still home, ( I thought he would have been in hospital by now)
I am so grateful to have my family all together here this year..
Faye, you know we love you, G/F..
I might be a little slow getting the rest of things sent out right now, they are working me to death and we are all caught up in Joe's new health issue..
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!

Susie, sorry to hear about your Dad. Sending lots of prayers your way.
I inherited my Dad's arrhythmia heart-beat, Debra, and hope that's all that's wrong with your beloved Joe.
My Dad had bladder cancer, Susie, and understand what you're going through.
Do hope all you Friends will have a Happy Thanksgiving. I'm blessed to have each one of you in my life and call you Friends!

Debra, it could also be Mitral Valve pro lapse. It is just a lazy valve, that can flutter quite a bit. I have it. Nothing too serious.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Debra, please know we will keep him in our prayers!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Gm & HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY bkf OVER & Macy's parade about to begin pie crust warming Jim's shelling peanuts for more peanut brittle.
We Are just going to enjoy everyday that we can with daddy we decided to opt out of the surgery & just enjoy the time we have .
daddy is in good spirit so all is well :) I also enjoy all the friendship here it really helps to know we can share our thoughts, concerns, &
at times flustrations with each other.
well guess i better get off here you all have a super day my thoughts are with you all
susie
Give your Daddy a hug for me Susie!
Sending Debra and Susie big hugs, Joe and Daddy too!
I watched most of the Parade and got to see part of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show between having one eye on our dinner in the oven upstairs and the other one on our TV downstairs. MIL and a girlfriend of hers we've met many times joined us for Thanksgiving. The food and fellowship were all good. My MIL is finally heeding her Dr's advice and is doing her exercises and even complained she is sore, so that's a good sign. Her knee replacement was 5 years ago and she's been lax exercising, but think it's finally hitting her if she wants to live in her own home, she has to keep up her exercises or she'll eventually end up in a wheelchair, or worse will be living in a nursing home. She'll be 80 Christmas week and is doing much better walking with her walker. Before hubby took them back home, I packed hefty 'to go' plates good for at least two or three meals since neither one of them cooks much anymore. And they were tickled with their new calendars. All they could talk about going out the door was how insurance agents and drug stores don't give out calendars anymore...lol Hadn't thought about those little stand-up calendars for years.
Edited to say.....Christmas Day is a month from today!
How was Black Friday shopping, happ? Did anybody else go? Not me, I prefer to shop from my keyboard and you couldn't pay me to to brave the crowds or get up at such an ungodly hour, although I used to at 6 AM and couldn't wait. A lot of the stores at the Mall opened at midnight!

What are you working on Neener?

Get better soon Debra!
Your place just got warmer with LK's thoughtful housewarming gifts, Susie. Nothing wrong with making do. I do it all the time and think it's fun to mix and match. You and your brother have done a fantastic job and your place looks so bright and cheery. Can't believe you've already had snow but guess it's time up there in your Neck of the Woods. BTW, my Mom used to have that same set of canisters she painted, must have been in the early '70's if not before. Don't know what ever happened to them but I still have her mushroom set.
I trust Joe will have a good dr's report (tomorrow?), Debra. Feel better soon.
Miss you, happ. Hope nothing's wrong and you had a ball shopping and staving off the crowds on Black Friday.
LK we are adding a couple of much needed powder rooms on a couple levels of our house and then gutting the kitchen and starting over. Should be an interesting winter. It is already a pain in my butt, but I know that it will be fabulous when it is done.
Make sure you take before and after pictures?
