Dark and raining. First freeze warning. Better get my plants in today! 48.

Thomaston, CT

First frost for tonight along with some snow....raining lightly, chilly, damp & pretty ugly.....

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning, everyone.

Cloudy with showers and only 39 degrees in WNY.

I can now see my computer screen with no glasses at all. That is amazing to me.

Have a blessed and thankful Thursday, friends. ☺

about 1 1/2" so far could get 4"

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

this stinks!!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It totally missed us! I can't belive the states south of us have snow before we do!!
I could see it on the radar, the snow was approx 40 miles to our west and 30 miles away to the east on the coast they had a mix. Southern Maine got a few inches also.
Sat. night into sunday morning may be a different story, they say we might get 6" of wet heavy snow. :(

It's 32 now going for a high of 47 today.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

can't believe we are having the same weather as you Celeste

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

At about 10 pm we had pea sized hail last night. I think we had about 2" of snow in the evening but now it's mostly just a frosting in spots on the ground. Overnight low was 32.9 F, not any warmer yet. Cars are coated in ice.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

ugh!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

frightening that we are having snow.. and the bulk of our leaves have not dropped yet.. going to be a mess out there

Thomaston, CT

Talked to my son last night....he said he had several inches of snow....I had about an inch on the fence when I went to get the paper out of the box....sigh....MUCH too early! Thanks for the '87 video, Victor...I went back to my '87 journal & found our first frost was Sept 25th that year. The entire winter was a mixed bag.....and by late Feb. the snow was off the lawn.....nothing like last winter!

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning, everyone.

Bright, sunny and 29 degrees in WNY. Clear and cold. There was a light frost overnight.

I hope NJ does not have an "October Storm" like we did in WNY on October 13, 2006. Wet snow fell on trees still full of leaves causing thousands of limbs to break and fall, blocking streets and downing power lines. It was a mess and we were without power for 3-4 days.

Have a blessed and fantastic Friday, friends. ☺

South Hamilton, MA

Light snow over night. It is melting near the house 34°. A cement truck turned over south of Boston messing up traffic as it must have hit black ice. DH has left to carve pumpkins for the Ipswich river Audubon's weekend gala. He was hoping that he didn't hit black ice as it is west of us.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

My deck was covered in ice this morning and the bird bath was frozen over....what the heck!!! low was 42°

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

45 and sunny. rained last night.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

ended up with 2" some trees where leaning with the weight - tomorrow up to 6"

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We'll be getting hit tomorrow. 3-6 inches likely. Beautiful now - clear and 47.

Thomaston, CT

The sun was warm, the wind was cold....but 5-8" forecast for Hartford....probably more here....bummer.

South Hamilton, MA

dusting of snow & some ice petals this morning. Even further south near Gillette stadium a truck tipped over on black ice. Traffic was detoured into the stadium parking lot around it. We should be just under 3" tomorrow afternoon--more as you go inland.

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

I drove by Gillette stadium this afternoon, and by then it was just sunny and cold. I was very very grateful that although I have to travel a lot for my work, it's often in the hotter part of the day. We may have to hunker down sometime tomorrow when our predicted Nor'easter gets here.

Fredericton N B, Canada(Zone 4a)

They are predicting snow here on Sunday. The wind was bitter today.I walked over to the hairdresser ..about a long block..and nearly blew away.My hairdo suffered on the way home!!I should have worn a winter cat and a scarf on my head....I hate winter in the "Frozen North"!! JOY

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Not bad to have the first frost 10/28

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes.

South Hamilton, MA
