These above average temps are confusing my perennials...they are ready for sleep.
54 now 39 for a low tonight, they should like that. :)

Halloween is almost upon us but it seems like alot of the freaks came out early this year.

Beautiful morning here; very cool but sunny. I planted for two hours; my hands are mad at me, but the place is shaping up. :). Celeste - your plants want their nap, and mine are ready to wake up!

Thank you, Dave, for your cheery welcome to the days!

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

It's warmed up to 58. Got a chance to ride today.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hee hee he, Didn't mean the folks on DG. :)

It's 45 this morning, high of 57 for today.
I'd like to get out there and rake while it's nice but this darn cold has the best of me, all I do is cough!

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning, everyone.

Finally sunny in WNY. Cooler at 40 degrees only going up to the low 50's. Should be a nice fall day, though.

Have a blessed and salubrious Sunday, friends. ☺

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Dave, and same from here.

It's 43 F. and the sun is warming things up, maybe to 60. Last night's low was 38 F. The killing frost continues to hold off, but yesterday I moved the houseplants indoors. The hibiscus is radiant from its summer vacation.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice fall day!

Speaking of freaks, my BIL was over yesterday. He is a NYPD detective and has had some duty lately near the Occupy crowd. You should hear some of what goes on that never gets reported.

Thomaston, CT

Weather was chilly & overcast in NH....was hoping it would improve in CT, but no....still overcast & chilly! Going for a walk to warm up my hands.....Louise, how I wish I was in FL planting right now!

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

64 and sunny did some weeding, I don't think I'll ever catch up on the weeds:( Had to cut bach some of my clematis 'Sweet Autumn'. It helped to pull down my arbor in all the wind we had. DH is going to build something else for it to climb on.

Thomaston, CT

The sun did shine here eventually, and the walk was perfect.....

Well..... share some stories, Victor

GORGEOUS day went to a 4 acre corn maze, corn was REALLY low in some spots this year

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Here's one. The protesters were throwing their feces at the police.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Had a family go into a corn maize, then call 911 4 hours later when they couldn't get out! LOL

It's 39 now, cloudy with a high of 54 today.
Edited because I put it was 46 out...it's not!

how funny... not for them of course
38 now going to 63 .. showers tonight

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

The corn mazes I've been to had escape routes and staff outposts. Doesn't sound fun.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

46 and getting cloudy. I heard about the maze. Funny!

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning.

Clouds, rain and 54 degrees in WNY. Yuck.

Have a blessed and marvelous Monday, friends. ☺

This one you had to find stations were there were trivia questions and pieces to the map of the maze, the more you collected time was added and the things you missed time was subtracted from total time in the maze....we had 2 groups girls vs boys

the guys beat us by 2mins Took about an hour 10mins, since some spots were low you could see where you were supposed to be but not how to get there so that was the frustrating part and there was only 1 pathway to the victory bridge

From the air the maze looked like a pig, last year was a cow

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

rainy this am. now it's 55 and trying to clear up

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Mostly cloudy 67°

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

...the sun will come out...right now...in WNY the sun is shining...come what may...

(to the tune of "The Sun Will Come Up" from the musical Annie) ☺

Thomaston, CT

It was sunny this morning, cloudy this afternoon, high of 58.....went to the apple orchard & found my favorite, Baldwins.....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Don't think I've ever had a Baldwin(Alec, Daniel, Billy or Stephen?)

Thomaston, CT

Don't know, but it has rock hard abs!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Can't be Alec then

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

LOL, Robin! You are in good form today!, it must have been your nice walk! I wish you were down here too! I've got two tomato bushes in and I bought 3 peppers today. They are way too expensive in the grocery stores! I'm hoping to serve Jan some home grown veggies when she comes to see us in January! We are looking forward to that!

I'd like to taste a Baldwin! "an apple a day....", you know....

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Cloudy and 45 now, heading for a big high of 55 today. LOL

Anybody seen WC? I miss his post. :(

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

41 going to 63... no I don't think so

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice start today. Clear and 51. Anyone see the Northern Lights last night? Were visible in many places. Cloudy here.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

This is one of those days when you wish it was open season on weathermen!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Latitude

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Think you have it bad? Denver was 80 yesterday. Snow today!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Nope I don't think I have it bad, very aware I have it very good. Warm clothes, warm house thats paid for, food in the frig. and the love of family and friends. I'm rich actually. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

Thomaston, CT

I wish I had your attitude, Pixie...I heard the 's' word here & I was NOT happy....sunny right now, guess it's time to start cleaning out my garden!

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning, everyone.

Bright and sunny in WNY but only 41 degrees. Going up to the mid 50's. The 's word' is in our forecast for later in the week too. Uggh.

I definitely will need to wear the sunglasses the eye doctor's office gave me after my cataract surgery on my right eye today. My wife will take me to the surgery center around 11:30 am and I should be all done in about an hour or so. As long as I am OK, we are planning to meet her parents for lunch at a restaurant which is right next door to the surgery center. I am a bit nervous but looking forward to the results. The left eye will be done in two weeks.

Have a blessed and terrific Tuesday, friends. ☺
