Crazy storm blew thru

Now there's a full rainbow in the sky

Been raing here all day, at times hard.

Well, on an off rain all day, some with thunder and lightening. Muggy and warm all day however the temperature is starting to drop and its 60 right now.

Some rain today but I worked all day

Just a few showers today, that's all. Enough so that Jeff did not put the tent up for a sleepover with the grandsons. They are here, cuz their mommy and sister have to get on a plane REAL early in the morning. Hope they sleep in past Jeff's usual wake-up time of 5:45. He likes to sleep in til 7 on the weekend.

Lots of rain and.... Thunder? Seemed like a summer storm today. Cooling off now.

It's 55 and breezy, high of 62 today with 20-30MPH winds. Leaves will be flying off the tree's today!

Overnight low was 50 F. Sun is already drying up the rain, temps to go into the 60's soon with partial sun. This is perhaps my big gardening weekend to finish planting the new beds. The bushes to replace Norway Maples with their own yellow fall leaves do not disappoint. No rain expected again until Tuesday. Color here is happening in spots but not spectacular.

Currently 49 degrees in WNY. Cloudy, rain and a high wind warning for today and tomorrow. So far the winds are pretty calm but we'll see.

Hope you do as well, Dave. Very windy....my shirt sleeves were fluttering as I walked across the dam.....almost had to hold on to the wires! Nice to see the sun!

I scored almost 15 sq ft of tile at a yard sale for $6. May be a good choice for the backsplash. In looking it up on line I think it is a tumbled marble. Even if we can't use it there, I'll find a use for it somewhere.

82 and overcast here in Florida. We're on the highway about an hour from home. We spent a wonderful day yesterday in Beaufort, SC. It is a great place for a nice vacation if you like beautiful places with tons of history and antebellum homes. We took a historical tour in a horse and buggy - including the girls - and they were just great. It was such a terrific and interesting tour of the historical district. We took a drive through Hilton Head Island on our way south at the end of the day also. It's not my cuppatea....a bit too snooty for me. Even though neither of us has felt very well on this trip, we've made the best of it and enjoyed it,especially because the girls have been awesome! It's amazing how just one year can turn mischievous puppies into fun, easy little ladies, who get it. LOL

So wonderful, Louise! I'm glad you're having a good time making priceless memories with your family.

High winds around noon just gave way to big raindrops, very dark and overcast now. Weather report said none of this would stick, but it's a heavy cloud cover. I feel grateful that the sun let me finish planting peonies, about three dozen bulbs and assorted perennials. I won't be embarassed finally by what's lying around when we have our annual Halloween party for piano students aged 5-18. Hope they can run outside after they perform their scary piano pieces.

That sounds like a fun thing to do, Rosemary! Louise, so glad you & Hank & the girls have had a good trip...sounds like FL is welcoming you....only 60 here, got caught in a shower walking this afternoon.....the wind seems to be increasing.

It is really sweet to see the tiny kids in costumes play Hot Cross Buns, remembering we were there not so long ago, but now it's Danse Macbre as a throw away piece, since mine is 18 and a senior. I

59 degrees, cloudy and windy. More typical weather for October than recent days. I wore a jacket outside today and put on a sweater to go out to eat tonight. A pleasant change. More rain coming however.

Now that Dave has sent his warm message with blessings, I can go out into the cold to finish a berm and plant it...50F and sunny here, typical fall weather.

Sunny, breezy & 58 right now....rain forecast for tonight....

A/C is on; natives are loving the "cool" weather we brought them :). Guess it's just not cool enough for Yankees. Lol

Happy day everyone...back to unpacking and finding where I put things when we left. I'll send a photo of the jungle in our back yard when I can find the camera. :). The bougainvillea grew at least ten feet and is blocking the door to the girls' play yard.

Strange to go from 86 in NM over the weekend, back to 50s & 60s. Rain predicted for Wed.

43 now going to 69.. waiting for sun up to see if the coleus is mush yet

I brought all my house plants in yesterday plus a couple to over winter. A Rex begonia that I brought in last winter grew to monster size outside this year.
