Weather In Your Garden # 107
78 and sunny. DH mowed today
Summer is back!
It was too hot to eat outside today....but I'll take all the hot (or even warm) weather that comes my way.....think we broke the record of 83 here in CT....
iris, you wouldn't want my shoulders, either, but it's hands and wrists that react the most to shoveling! Had to work slowly today so there's some oomph left for the day off tomorrow--hoping to finish spring planting LOL. High 70's and not too humid today. The weather was so nice the town was totally deserted. Probably all at the beach or the Cape. With this weather, it must be too early to plant tulips! All around town I could spot confused azaleas and bulbs coming up as though for spring.
Temp in the mid 70s. Lovely to work outside. Got over 3/4 of siberian foliage cut. I was really slowing down near the end. If only I could work my tool left-handed. DH mowed & cut the peony foliage, bless him.
My DH mowed too but it took the whole day because it broke down. Seems there is a pin sized spot in the carburator that needed cleaning. Now he's replacing the "self powered gear train." It was nice to have company and sometimes a helper.
I will post more about the ISM meeting on Nov. 5. All iris lovers take note as the speaker is Paul Black. We will be there in Bedford no matter what the weather.
high was 84°
High was 82 here...I loved it!
I know I was complaining we were sweating putting up the decorations yesterday... but was happy anyway... 49 now going to 83
It's 57 now, high of 77 on tap.
We broke records here in Maine yesterday. :)
got a lot done yesterday outside -a little too warm though - another good one today.
Yes, we broke the record here yesterday as well....85....today in the high 70s, will be heading to the orchard I like later today....
Amazingly, overnight low was 57 F. So warm, it was necessary to water the plants. Another beautiful high 70's expected! Outdoors, looking better, indoors, oh well.
Good morning, everyone. Happy Columbus Day.
Currently 56 degrees in WNY heading up to the mid 70's with bright sunshine. Very nice.
Have a blessed and marvelous Monday, friends. ☺

70 and sunny. DH opened the windows for the cats yesterday. They're sitting in them today too.
Hit 80 once again today....loved every min. About 1000 cars ....well, maybe a 100, at the orchard today....bought many different varieties, one was Northern Spy, another was a dark red variety of Rome.....
Northern Spy are supposed to make great pies
My weather in Maine has been spectacular!!! This is what was written in tonights news. Most of these records are over 60 years old.^_^ ^_^ ^_^
PORTLAND — Portland temperatures have hit a record high for the third day in a row.
The temperature today hit 81 at the Portland International Jetport, tying the old record for the date set back in 1949.
The National Weather Service says Portland's 85-degree high on Sunday broke the previous record of 79 degrees, set in 1942 and again in 1943.
The temperature reached 81 on Saturday, which tied the record for that date, set in 1947.
Bridgeport broke their old record today also.....
Good morning, everyone.
Bright and sunny again today in WNY. Currently 55 degrees heading up to the mid 70's. Last nice day for a while as the rain comes in tomorrow.
Have a blessed and terrific Tuesday, friends. ☺

Partly cloudy high of 75 or so. chance of rain next 2 days
going to get up to 70 - cooling down with some rain the rest of the week
50 going up to 66 today.
suposed to be cooling down, but I don't mind it staying 73 for now. calling for rain tomorrow or thurs.
64° & sunny with a breeze at the moment. iris seeds are planted. Not sure if DH is planting any.
A beauty of a day....I worked 8-1....wanted to stay on the playground longer......my neighbors just bought a horse, & I went to see her, fed her an apple....
More horse information, please. DGD is coming home (Ohio) on her fall break & ready to ride.
It's a 13 year old mare, dark brown, very gentle & quiet.....I had no idea she was behind my house!
It's nice to have a horse to talk to.
Nice! Wish I had one nearby.
Wow, first Nikon was set back by the quake/tsunami. Now their manufacturing center in Thailand is flooded!
I love it when a horse sniggers at you as if in conversation and then blows it's warm breath on you. However, that can sometimes get a little messy if I remember correctly. ;)
A beautiful day here.
many face wipes Jan!!
Just found out my friend's mil has horses
I had horsey conversations tonight doing chores. It's amazing how fast new ones realize who feeds!
nothing like everyone hub bub bubbing at dinner time
Partly sunny right now....rain forecast for this evening....temp only in the 60s for today.....I've been spoiled with the lovely warm days......
We've just crossed the Hudson, and I'm guessing you are having overcast weather, Victor? We're officially on our way! Funny how the foliage is more muted than usual everywhere we've seen so far...
Hope you are all having a nice Fall day too.
