My dad is doing OK. They put 4 staples in the would at the back of his head. He lost a lot of blood and was shaky, but the nursing staff in his assisted living facility will be keeping a close eye on him for the next few days.

My wonderful wife tells me it rained in the night. I had no idea. Right now in WNY it is 61 and sunny heading up to the low 70's. More rain coming.

she has been a D.O.N. for several years and needed to complete her bachelors for nursing. next in line is the masters - contributions are welcome:)

There are lots of grant and scholarship programs for any profession. You just have to scour the internet to find and apply for them. My wife has thought about going back to school and there are lots of financial aid programs for women of her age (55) and for everyone. She's not quite sure yet what she wants to do when she grows up, though. ☺

Sun came out, wind is picking up and hopefully chasing away all the humidity???

Had a doctor's appt at 10:30 this morning....traveling north on route 8 was a nightmare, it was raining so hard....had to put on my flashers as I was crawling at 45 mph.....however, many jerks passed me...very cloudy right now....am supposed to babysit at the farm tonight, but if it's raining hard, will not get home!
