Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Any word, Celeste???

Thomaston, CT

Sun is just peeping out....close to 80 predicted....going to the apple orchard.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Super foggy...AGAIN...I don't understand why people don't turn on their headlights when it's like this

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning.

Adding my prayers as well, Celeste. I understand as I am waiting on word about my dad now. I got a call at 2:00 am from the nurse at his assisted living facility. She said he had fallen in his bathroom and injured his head and was on the way to the VA emergency room. The VA has now transferred my dad to another hospital that specializes in head injuries and other neurological problems and is running a barrage of tests. They won't tell me much over the phone and the latest word is that I am to call the hospital again at noon to get a status. I am disabled and it is hard for me to get around, and want more information before venturing out. I know the Lord will make a way for my dad and Oryanna.

Currently 70 degrees in WNY with thunderstorms coming soon. Should only stay in the upper 60's with much rain today.

Have a blessed and terrific Tuesday, friends. ☺

hope all will be doing better soon.

another nice sept day here

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Hey Bill where ya been????

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks, everyone. I just got a call from the doctor at the hospital. All tests they ran on my dad came back negative for any problems such as stroke, concussion, etc. and they can release him. My wonderful wife is getting someone to cover her shift at work and as soon as she can leave we will go get my dad. I have cataracts in both eyes and am having the surgeries on 10/25 and 11/8. Driving has become difficult with such poor vision so I need my wife to take the wheel. I'm very thankful that this drama has turned out OK. ☺

Thomaston, CT

Very happy that things turned out so well for your Dad, Dave! Victor, thanks for the sunspots....maybe that's why are weather is so weird!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Dave, i'm very happy to hear your Dad's OK!!

As for Oryanna, they found a very aggravated lymph node in her upper intestines. They took a biopsy and now we wait another week. Please pray folks, im scared to death.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Certainly will, Celeste. How is she feeling? Was she very scared.

I have another worry myself. Will elaborate sometime later. Will be asking for thoughts and prayers again too.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Nope not scared and absolutely an angel. I don't know if reincarnation is real or not, but I have always described this child as "An old soul in a new body". She is very mature for 3, she understands things and has a memory of an 20year old! She just 'accepts' what ever she is told...like yesterday with liquid diet only. Her Mom & Dad explained that they need it to be clean in there so they can get a good look so she could only have certain fluids and no food. When she got a juice box or popsicle out of the frig. she would ask her mother if it was one she COULD drink or if it was a BAD one with dyes in it. She never cried for food or complained when they told her it was a bad one. I'm serious, this child is an ANGEL.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Dave, glad to hear the good news about your father

Celeste, Will keep praying

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thanks Jen.
Victor, im sorry to hear you have more bad news on your doorstep. :(

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I am going to pray for everyone

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thank you.

May as well give the details. My wife's mammogram last week showed something. They called and told her she needs to follow up with additional testing. She will go next Thursday. Could not get it sooner, though they seemed fine with that. Hopefully that is some type of positive.

Her grandmother had breast cancer and had a mastectomy. Hopefully, it will work out like my sister earlier this year. Will be a tough next 9 days, though.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Geez! Im so sorry Victor!! Will include "I" in my prayers for sure. I'll give you the same good advice i got today....need to stay positive for her.

South Hamilton, MA

A matter of praying for all our friends.

Dave--vision is great after cataract surgery.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

group hugs!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, ladies.

Mid-Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5b)

Wow, this has become a very busy place. Dave, I'm glad your dad will be okay, Celeste I'll send prayers your way. I hope all goes well. Victor, I went through that myself just 3 years ago. My thoughts and prayers to you and your wife.

Those sunspots are interesting. Any chance they'll change this horrible weather? High 70's and very humid. Non air conditioned schools are miserable in this weather. The mosquitoes are also bad. I just hope non of us get anything from all the bites we're receiving. I don't remember a September like this ever.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

prayers to all, waiting is so hard

Thomaston, CT

Hugs and prayers to you both, Pixie & Victor....I know what it's like waiting for a biopsy....thankfully, mine was benign.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Yes, big hugs for all.

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Hey all. I'm just checking in. Do you think the sunspots have anything to do with the lousy mood everyone is in around where I live?

My thoughts an prayers are with you all, especially Dave and family , Celeste and daughter, and and Victor and wife.

If it's any comfort to Celeste, I know what it's like to have a small child who is an amazing patient. My DS was premature, and as far as early health problems, he had the works! It was comforting to us to see how very quickly he could spot a competent doctor or nurse and then do everything right for them. Another of my kids only got mad when she ever got sick. That wonderful attitude is a gift to you and to your daughter, and it will stand her well in years to come. God bless you.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it really does make a huge difference

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Praying for your wife too Victor...I had a scare a few years ago too, turned out to be nothing....praying it's the same for her

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

prayers for you and your wife, Victor. Hugs for the family.
