72, 92% H, looks ominous!
Weather In Your Garden # 104
Good morning.
Currently 69 degrees going up to 79 degrees with thunderstorms in WNY today. Got some storms around 11:00 last night.
Have a blessed and thankful Thursday, friends. ☺

Very cloudy, very dark & gloomy out there right now ....T-storms forecast for this afternoon & evening.....I have a Dr.'s appt this afternoon, then I'll go up to the farm & scrounge around for the last blueberries if it's not raining.....
'Irene' seems on a track through Hartford for now. DH has been checking for small tools in the garden & we have brought in our suet feeder. Sunny & nice breeze at the moment. 72°
It's getting progressively darker. Thunder in the far distance and light rain falling. Temp low 70s and humid!
That's a front coming in from the west. We are supposed to have it as well. then hurricane on Sun. Fun!
I definitely wouldn't have wanted to be out on a boat near a water spout!!!
Thunder rumbling in the distance now, very thick out there. Spent only an hour at DMV getting my license renewed...Fun fun fun
Just love the DMV! Was able to get both dogs walked, but it looks ominous out there now....76 & humid....
Oh man!!!! There was a lady there that looked 120, goes by the id check table but the other side where there was no one stationed, so the lady at the other side tells her to come over by her....she turns and walks in the complete opposite direction to go stand in another line. WOW and she's going to be driving????
Only threatening here from the west, with partial sun, but the air feels like a big one is coming. So far a huge teenager group is still wanting to go ahead and camp on Mt. Cardigan because they claim they'll leave by sunday am. Sigh. They've planned it a long time and some have serious survival skills, which doesn't boost this parent's confidence to say OK!
Just went thru downpour and some thunder...not too loud though
79°, wind from the SW at 20 mph, H 78%, rain
Supposed to go up a few more degrees to 81°, but I doubt it. Right now we have gusty winds and static on the radio from an approaching thunderstorm, just started raining now. Strong thunderstorms continuing into the early evening, tonight's low 70°.
- Went out early and got some sterno, extra batteries, candles, some fruits, and some canned goods. D-cell Batteries are going fast off the shelves, most of the good battery operated lamps are gone, (luckily I have a couple along with some hurricane lamps and some oil).
- Still have to fill up my 5 gal emergency gas tank and mabye pick up a couple of bags of ice. I have a 5 gal ceramic coated emergency tank for water, I'll fill that up on Sat am. In Fla they usually turn off the electricity and gas before the hurricanes hit. They may do the same up here.
... looks like Irene is heading for LI like a bowling ball trying to get a spare pin.
81° & humid. It is cool in the house so I don't want to open windows. A grumble or 2 of thinder as we have a fron with rain coming from the west. I would love to send some of the rain to TX. Will keep the high winds, wouldn't wish them that.
Irene is supposed to hit here on Sun. Luckily the Packer game on TV is Fri. night. would hate to miss that. Starting my 68th yr of fandom. Tough on DH who is not a sports fan, except tennis & lacrosse. He has been patient with me over the years.
we had t-stroms and wind last night. A pretty wild night.
.41" so far today
put us in a state of emergency for sunday already
Us too, I'll have to buy my pizza early on Sat ... maybe I'll buy an emergency frozen pizza tomorrow just in case..
76°, very humid at 86%
WC - Greenport has their own power so you could head east if the weather allows. Or you could select one from Column A and one from Column B. My kids think that was hysterical and I hope you do remember it from Chinese restaurants.
Today I worked outside for nine long hours with only a five minute break around 3:30 to allow the shower to pass.
Showers & some wind this afternoon. Weather from the west, nothing to do with Irene. We are 5 miles from the ocean, but with a 200 ft hill just a few 'blocks' away, not worried about storm surges.
Gee, Rosemary....kinda scary about the kids being on Mt. Cardigan....the last predicted track of Irene takes her right through our town....I've really had it with the storms this year!
Hey everyone, Sherrie started a HURRICANE thread, please post when the storm passes you. and let us know your OK.

LOL!!! I'll fix that!
LOL
pouring out there
71°, wind 0.0, H 93%, clear skies
Going up to 83° here today, but it'll feel like 91 due to the humidity. We'll develop a light breeze from the South at ~ 5 mph, clouds increasing towards afternoon.
Chance of some light rain tonight with a low of 68°.
Good morning, everyone.
Currently partly sunny and 64 degrees in WNY heading for the upper 70's.
Have a blessed and fantastic Friday, friends. ☺

It's partly cloudy, temp going to 80.....
79° Went out this morning & bought new sterno cans for chafing dish. the others were pretty old. No luck on battery radio (to find out what is happening) try & make do with oldie one. Got the blue ink which was low on the printer so success there. We are fine until Sun.
jen i am sure you do not enhale
oh no.. of course not
LOL!!! You guys are funny!
It's a beautiful day here, 79 and sunny.. can't believe a hurricane is headed our way. Guess this is what they mean about the calm before the storm. :(
yeah I was looking around while going to the store and thinking how beautiful it was out
Never done it never will
NASTY day today so thick and HOT
had .19" of rain last night
Gorgeous here. Sunny, breezy and twice as nice in the shade.
Feels too warm for me 81° & I didn't feel like working outside.
Was a sunny beautiful but muggy day. Spent it on the road retrieving my mother from Aunts house closer to storm. Now she's installed with groceries in her own place north of me. Hope the rain holds off until I clear out the yard and bring in the hanging plants. Hope you long islanders are going to be okay.
It was very humid today, hopefully the storm will clear the air....
Thanks Candy, we've done all we could here to prepare and will finish some minor things tomorrow.
then it's just sit and wait, - and sweat it out..
74° and very humid 87%, wind from the SW at 5 mph
