I was through cooking by 9 this morning....everything in the fridge for a cold lunch! The humidity is wicked, but a bit of a breeze is keeping me sane......
Weather in your garden # 103
Good morning everyone.
Currently a sunny and humid 71 degrees in WNY. Going to the mid 80's with more t-storms later.
Have a blessed and marvelous Monday, friends. :)

Shower moving through.
Downpour the past few minutes. Almost an inch. Temp down to 70.
Sounds wonderful, I hope I get some of that!
89° and horrible outside.
At this point I am only three inches shy of 50 inches of rain on the year. That's close to the annual average!
Wow....you have way more than I do! Even with the rain on Sat. CT is still in a deficit.......looks like a shower is on it's way.....
As of 4 p.m. officially raining hard. But I think it will be a 45-minute shower.
I'm all for lower humidity!
short, hard shower this afternoon. Luckily we were home from errands.
ditto, no relief from the humidity. 83°
Got 1.2 inches today. 71 now, with 85% H.
No rain here. Just got my first estimate for an irrigation system.
did you look into doing what we did.. the micro system?... much cheaper and you can hide the tubes with mulch.. bad news is the heads always stick up.. but they don't bother me
Welcome back, Louise! Was the estimate about what you were expecting?
No rain here....
Twenty minutes of rain that dried up fast on streets and bricks.
Check out Lee Valley for DIY irrigation systems.
I have drip systems in some of the beds that work fine, but that doesn't help the lawn. I'm sick about the loss of lawn and plants in my non-rain zone, so I'm calling in the pros. His estimate was less than I expected so I'm happy.
Out here they used to call them "summer lawns" - brown and crispy!
Any local regulations there regarding irrigation systems? Will you be able to use it if there is a drought? That's the good think about micro.
It must have rain sensor, other than that it would have the same water restrictions as using the hose to water in drought conditions.
So can it be restricted or banned?
I also like the micro because I can add it spots it's lacking... or one that needs more water.. and no waste since it's just watering the areas needed
I think they should all have that rain sensor anyway so ANNOYING to see sprinklers going when it's raining out
High was 92° today
Yes, that drives me nuts when I see that. Same with high powered lights on during the day.
When we've had water restrictions here it applies to any outdoor watering, no matter the system used to deliver it. A few years back when we had a drought, even watering from a private well was banned. I do plan on getting a well, but that will have to wait awhile. In the mean time, mother nature is supposed to do some watering tonight.
Good morning.
Light rain and 68 degrees right now, getting up to 79 today.
Have a blessed and terrific Tuesday, friends.

Sunny and 70s....going up to low 80s with afternoon T-storms....heading to Rochester tomorrow.....
Cute, though I hear they can be pretty ill tempered..
71°, wind from the NNE at 5 mph, H 83%, hazy sun
Going up to 81°, the humidity will make it feel like 90°.
Rain/ T-storms expected later this afternoon into tonight. Tonight's low 69° with winds shifting from the WSW.
Pouring right now
Now it's overcast but it was sunny, hot and humid prior to 1:30.
Same here, wind picked up to 13 mph.
had rain overnight. now it's 80 and very nice.
Cloudy all day, 75, starting to rain....just made it back to the car in time....Pixie, that's a wonderful photo!
Torrential downpour now!
A quick downpour yesterday after the 2" the day before. DH said that the pot we use to catch rain was dumped over last night. skunk trying to get a drink?
Picked up 1.3" pretty quickly! Now 4 inches for the month. 47 for the year.
