central, NJ(Zone 6b)

.55" total from yesterday....we needed it!!!!

Take care, Iris, don't overdo it!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Go easy, Lucy. We gardeners tend to work too hard.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

they never left some beds here too.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Weeds were getting crazy here, wasn't going out there in the heat and so hard to pull unless I had just watered

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

don't you use a tool - i use an old dandline thing that is sharp and goes deep

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Too hot to weed until Sep.

South Hamilton, MA

I can loosen weeds with a tool in my right hand & have learned to pull out with the left. Jumper 2 is have a problem with a nasty grass with roots to china. DH should mow in front of our stone wall again, tough on neighbors to see & we must let break-inners know someone is here.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

76°, H 66%
weeding is definitely for cool weather!

Thomaston, CT

Just came in from weeding....now I need some plants to fill in all the holes!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I wandered and weeded / dead headed too

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Poem??

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

if that's what you see ... sure

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Today I was back, again, in a tight space weeding, then laid down corrugated cardboard all along the post and rail fence for 10' and put barrels of compost on top in the hopes I won't have more weeds. Am I certifiable? Our neighbor will still use his weed whacker and I'll still get weeds that will love the compost. At least (I hope) the roots will be shallow.

I had the fence to my right side, a hydrangea in front of me, an azalea to the rear along with another 50+ year old spruce. At least it's done.

Have Weed-Be-Gone, Will Travel.

We do have it but I still haven't used it.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have a special homemade cocktail of Weed B Gone, bleach, ammonia, gasoline, mercury, lighting fluid and Pepsi.
