Not sure yet Victor, won't know for sure until Aug. 19th but it cost me $1200.00 for Josh to have 4 out a few years ago.
Coffee Break #64
Wow.
Another DWB incident - driving while blond.

OMG that lady should be banned from driving Worldwide!

Companies now are cutting back on the coverage they offer employees. After the beach & lunch DW and I went to get new glasses. Our coverage was with VSO last year, under that plan our glasses would have come out to less than $100 total. This year the company didn't offer VSO, it was taken off the choices. Instead we got the best we could, - Aetna. Our glasses came out to $550.
DW told the assistant: "With this new plan we might as well not have any vision insurance considering how much we have to pay out of pocket." So the lady did the math, without the coverage our glasses would have come out to over $1000 for both of us including the exam. - and they're not even 'Louis Vuitton' frames!
- As if that wasn't bad enough Stony Brook Med cntr is no longer taking Aetna after Oct 1st. that's where we have our physicians... We'll have to choose another ins for next year that will cover us at Stony B. Meanwhile we'll have to cross our fingers and hope we dont need a doc before then or else we'll have to switch MD's for that time period.
Not only are deductibles increasing and coverage decreasing, and we don't even have a choice, but Hospitals are dropping ins companies as well! - what a mess...
Anyways, I just got back and my eyes are dilated for the next 5 hours, so I'm wearing my sunglasses while I'm typing this. (lol!!)
Sounds like a pain in the A not the eyes. :)
OH! I bet you look cool typing w/shades on. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
I thought our health care mess would be fixed....it's getting worse by the minute!
Much worse to come.
Yes, I do look cool Pixie, I just have to get an illuminated keyboard so I can see the keys better. (lol!)
Remember the 80's song, 'I wear my sunglasses at night...'?
oh be careful Jen
(I should be less harsh.)

If it's that much...they shouold pull them all Sherrie!!
Northeast Dental Plan here, too. It saved me about $10,000. last year. Glad that year is over and done!
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
300 a tooth. 1800 to go under
I called my regular dentist 4 months ago to get a price for Jims son. They said 250 for a single root tooth. They did not do molars which has 3 roots.
Be prepared. Like I said the other day to fix my filling was 305 bucks for one stinking filling!

I hope the heck not! LOL
My sil and bil work for a dental lab making crowns and false teeth....my sis has to get a crown done so she made it herself....the dentist paid only $188 for it, so that just goes to show what their mark up is.
Our cobra plan expired so had to get a new one, the one dental plan max pay out is only $1500, what good is that? (Unless nothing bad ever happens)
Brian + pliers + some whiskey = huge savings.
Hee hee hee!!! I thought about it...could stomach the whiskey. (Grin)
A friend of mine pulled all his own teeth.
My MIL had Brian do it to 2 teeth. About 10 years before she passed away she had 2 that were bothering her and they wanted 160 each to pull them. She made Brian do it with pliers, no novicane and NO WHISKEY!!!
OMG.....Mainers are tough folks! I can't stand the thought of teeth pulled with novacaine!
LOL.. you guys are CR-AAAAAZZZZ-YYYY
Candycaine.
I have novicane at the dentist all the time. Also have earphones for music while the drilling is going on, can't stand the sound. Just over $200 for last week's work.
We who are over 30 still think of it as Novocaine but it really is Lidocaine or a few other similar ones. As long as they work it's fine with me.
My husband has already fallen asleep in the dentist's chair while undergoing root canal...without any pain medication.
I've had periodontal problems and many surgeries over the last 30+ years and five more last year. Now, a "Perio Maintenance Procedure" (cleaning) costs $185. ($135. under the Northeast Dental Plan) - much more than a typical cleaning for $120. ($60. under the plan).
Thank you and what a beautiful combo Pirl!
Thanks, Celeste!
Great. thank you.
Happiest of birthdays to the guys! I got a happy phone call yesterday.....my friends in Florida are moving back to CT...they will be about 50 minutes from me, but that's not too bad!
Was it too "sunny" for them? I hated the scorching hot steering wheels and supermarkets where we had to wear jackets or freeze.
Glad they're coming home!
No, it's their health...Ted just came home from cardiac rehab, where he spent the past 2 months....Marion broke 4 bones in her foot, was in a boot, & couldn't drive.....one daughter lives in CT, the other in Texas....both girls convinced them to move back near the older daughter in CT....this couple were college classmates of my DH, so they are elderly......I'm glad they are coming home, just sad that Doug is not here to greet them......
Sorry to hear it's their health. Let's hope the move brings improved health and happiness.
