Weather in your garden # 102

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

79 but 69%H, still too hot in the sun, as always.

I believe it, Marilyn.

South Hamilton, MA

75° now. We were able to leave the windows open upstairs in spite of the higher temps. Humidity was down although i don't have measurements.

I can kneel on my own but have to get over to the equipment to get up.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Anything at all helps me get up but when I'm squeezed between a fence, a huge shrub and a tree I almost panic trying to get up.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

High was 94°

South Hamilton, MA

Move the shrubs & tree. Fence can stay--I suppose it is for the antlered darlings.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The tree is one of many 50 year old pines. Might be easier to hire the skinny little 7 year old boy to weed that area for me in the future. The fence is a post and rail and is original to the property - 50 years old and still strong.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

woo hoo.. unexpected rain!!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Raining now.

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Oh yeah, since I mentioned my long handled weeding weapon, I also wear steel toed over-the-ankle boots in the garden. Considering how often I have to step on a shovel to remove a root, it protects toes from all directions.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

78°, H 68%

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

61 mostly sunny, high of 82 with T-Storms this afternoon.

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning, everyone.

Currently 73 degrees and pleasant in WNY. Going up the the high 80's. I am so thankful our tiny cape style home has central a/c.

Have a blessed and marvelous Monday, friends. :)

Good idea, Rosemary. Sounds like serious footwear!

82, 59% H, sunny, barely a breeze. Only shade work today, if any.

South Hamilton, MA

Right, I don't know how people garden in flipflops. Don't wear those at all, but have seen it done.

South Hamilton, MA

pirl, it would be educational for the skinny 7 yr old.

Re: flip flops

Me neither. My daughter did it for years until the podiatrist had a very serious talk with her.

Re: Sean, the neighbor

He was in charge of watering newly planted grass seed last year and did a splendid job - never forgot a single day. Seems he loves learning and enjoys responsibility.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Had 10 days over 90 in July. Had 5.5 inches of rain. 43 inches so far this year.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I wear soccer sandals or go barefoot while gardening, unless I'm doing some heavy duty shoveling then I need a sturdier shoe

96° right now 43% humidity

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'll start a new thread.
