Tomorrow the forecast calls for 75. I hope they're not teasing us.

mine says 81.. don't mind so much if the humidity drops

Still, I bet there's enough AC business to last to winter. After this heat wave, noone would want to take any chances. Then, the guys who fix the fences that didn't open for the AC work ought to do OK too. The thought of planting a running water garden on a slope seems more worthwhile too. DH agrees that we could get a well dug and then have our own source for watering the rest of the garden. Ca-ching! We'd have to hire some help for that. But wouldn't that look great outside a dining room window on a hot day? Well, probably a "pipedream"( in a difference sense than people think) but fun to think about it when the mind is befuddled by heat, which is why its on THIS thread.

It a beautiful 72 right now and we are only going to a high of 76-78 today. A fantastic day on tap!!!

Gone down from 81 to 79. Very humid so clothes stick to you. Home from church & changing to my shorts. I had hoped to work outside today but don't think that I will have the energy.

Same here. It's still like breathing peanut butter though the humidity isn't terrible.

I was dripping while doing some watering and weeding and the sun wasn't even out...oh boy and when it did!!!!! Kept hosing myself off.

75 degrees with 73 percent humidity, ugh. Had some pitiful rain this morning, but at least the sun was behind clouds so we stayed in the 80s. It was cooler in the house today, the AC didn't have to work so hard.

Next week, the temps are just supposed to build up again. Can't wait for August.

no rain here. Temp suddenly dropped to 75° & lower humidity. So spent about an hour weeding the garden. You wouldn't know it from the amount I could get up. Had to start where I had already done some weeding. DH got a border iris up to go to next Sat. sale. but other iris are smaller types & I would rather wait a couple of days. Will trim & mark this one tomorrow.

No rain here either, now 77°, H 84%, 'real feel' 86°.

Ended up with 1.25". Not bad. Over 4" for the month now.

Still weeding and cutting back. Deer returned in force last night so I'm cutting back many hostas as well - they ate the leaves from them last night. They took care of the roses.

Looks like it wants to rain...we'll see...
