Well we are in the middle of a heat wave and it seems as no state is safe! It's 75 here at the moment and we will be heading towards that 100 mark again today. All I can say is thank you Willis Carrier !!!!!
Sunrise coming up over the greenhouse yesterday morning before the stiffling heat rolled in.
Weather in your garden # 102
77 now.. going to 100.. said the index will be around 105
It's 80 degrees already and the forecast says...
"Hazards… The Combination Of Excessive Heat And High Humidity Levels Creating Dangerous Heat Indices At Or Above 105 Degrees This Afternoon And Early Evening."
This is too much.
I agree!! Maine rarely see's 100 or better......im not liking it!!!!!!!
From the weather bureau in Maine:
"Thursday's high was 96 it fell three degrees shy of the all-time July high of 99 degrees.
Accounting for the humidity, it hit 104 degrees."

82° That is too hot this early. I see another day in the air conditioned room.
78° 'real feel' 88°, wind from the SW 5mph, H 86%, hazy sun
We're supposed to max out today at 91°, 'real feel' 103°.
Becoming partly cloudy tonight warm & humid with a low of 72°.
hot humid
watered the containers in back.. just nasty out there already
Heat index now at 99 and I'm done gardening for the day. This is cruel and unusual punishment for a sin I didn't even get around to committing!
LOL, Pirl! Had the dogs walked by 9:30....temp was 82 then, but the humidity matched it....the pavers chose today to fix everyone's driveway!
Pirl you have the rest of the day to make of for it - have fun!
Sure, now you tell me. Now that Elvis, James Dean and Frank Sinatra are dead!
*Edited to correct name to James Dean.

Went down a degree to 97!! 54% H. Monday looks nice.
It's currently 100° 55% humidity

OMG WC I'd die!!!!
Meant to say we are @ 92 w/heat index of 96, a little better than yesterday? I really can't tell.

114 heat index here.
It is NASTY out there, kids are in the kiddie pool
Currently 102°
100°
T-storm going around us to the south, rumbling in the distance bringing a little bit of rain
Still holding at 98. Central Park broke the record when it hit 102 before.
The wunderground gives Southold a heat index of 117 as of a few minutes ago.
Wunderground says it's 101.1 with an index of 107. My backyard thermometer says its 108 and it's always been an accurate thermometer. I'm supposed to meet DH at the farmer's market at 6:00. I don't know if I'm going. Will need to be a pretty good breeze and a lot cooler.
Just hit 99, but humidity down to 46%, so the index is 'only' 112.5!
They have a last day VBS cookout tonight...I'm thinking I'm not sitting out in that heat
Brought food to Mom today...it was a toasty 101 in the city....100 here in town, 98 at my house......
All the way down to 95! H up to 60%. Yuck!
Still yucky here!
yep.. still nasty
T-storms cooled things off a little. Humidity back up again!
85°, 'real feel' 101°, wind 0, H 78%
81, with 77% H. Not as bad as last night.
Bpstpn hit 103° I spent the day win the room with the a/c. Salad & p. chips for dinner.
