Lucky I guess Louise, proximity to the ocean helps, we had tolerable temps today, it's now 81° and dropping, humidity went up to 68% and still expected to go higher. Nice enough to do some weeding this afternoon in the shade, didn't sweat a drop. The next few days into Saturday won't be that easy, but at least we're only expecting 88° for a high tomorrow down here, - keeping my fingers crossed..
Weather in your garden # 101
Was outside for about two hours. Not bad at all when the breeze blew, but really hot when it did not. Humidity at a comfy 50%. Stuck at 89 for hours! Hot 90 at 12:12.
78 out there now and supposed to be cool for sleeping tonight, but NOT tomorrow night.
Marilyn - I'm glad you got your plants in before the heat got too bad. We had a couple of drop-bys from friends on the road and just sat on the front porch with some of the leftover Arnold Palmers and waters, so I didn't get anything done this afternoon in the gardens. Time well spent. There's always the weekend. :)
Yes, I'm realizing that chatting on the porch is a wonderful way to spend a summer day....managed to spend some time with my next door neighbor this evening......she only comes out in the summer!
It is so oppressive out there right now.
Robin, good job getting all your plants in, I still haven't gotten all mine in from the RU for the MA forum in May
73°, H 93%, ('real feel' 74°), winds from the S. at 8mph.
Got the a/c going tonight. Too humid.
Victor, just tonight? We always have it on.
We are at 68 with 88% humidity. UGH! Headed for a high of 92. Double UGH!
yeah mine has been on all the time now.. 74 now going to 96.. nasty
Last night in the herb garden, did heavy brush removal. The breeze made that possible. Not a breath of air stirring this morning though. It's 73. We have air quality advisories and excessive heat warnings going again today. Today I'll keep the kids inside mostly as we taste our produce.
72° at this time. We will shop for groceries early in the day & will spend most of the day in the room with the window air conditioner. It will be hot later.
82° here, wind S at 9mph, H 90%, hazy sun
Expecting a high of 88° here today, dropping down to 74° with plenty of humidity tonight.
Finished walking the dogs by 10, but it was already 80 with horrid humidity! Weeded for a half hour, am totally soaked....hate to turn on the air, but I have to...we also have excessive heat warnings for the next 36 hours......
Ugh - already 92. With a smothering 66% H. Next three days are hell. Heat indexes well into the 100's.

Believe it or not, I cleaned part of the garage in this heat! Not planned, but I had to dig the pool robot out of that corner so I just kept going.
Pool has finally turned the corner. Will be in tomorrow, even if it's still a bit cloudy!
This is the 8th day over 90 in July, and the 11th day this summer (3 in June).
8:30pm and still 95*. Yuck! Glad the bedroom has A/C.
40 states were over 90. 17 over 100!
We have 57 states? The heat must be addling my brain......
Ha ha - that's what the president said! No - the SAME states that were over 100 had to be also over 90, no?? ^_^
