Coffee Break #61 Summer is here!
Dick's Sporting goods carries hammocks, we have a big one here that carries just about anything that you want in sports from rifles to custom golf clubs.. they have quite a few stores in Jersey too. Should be no problem if you can get to one and save a bundle on shipping charges, call them first with the model # you want and you should be able to pick it up.. (if you can..)

I have a sunbrella one from Bean for 15 years. Only wearing out now.
That Sunbrella fabric is wonderful
Thanks for the great mom compliment Victor, though not sure how you get that from this post :-)
Hee hee, Deb.
If anyone is looking for a security camera system with recording ability, woot.com has a good deal today.
Love that story, Debi....my parents grew up in the same neighborhood, so they had no interesting how they met story...but my Mom saved my Dad's letters from Dexter, ME where he was sent during WWII, & those are lovely.....
Debi - I love that story of the proposal. What a wonderful memory forever! You've done very well in raising such a romantic!! It bodes well for their future happiness. There's a lot of learn from this story, guys!! lol
It's a good deal, but I think you have to drill holes through the house for the wires. .. I have a slight problem with that.
I know you have all heard of the American Lung Association, here in Maine they do an annual bike ride fundraiser, it's called 'Trek Across Maine' .
The Trek is a three-day bicycle ride held annually on Father’s Day weekend in June. The ride is approximately 180 miles across Maine, from the mountains of Sunday River Ski Resort in Bethel to the coastline in Belfast, Maine. They have overnight stops at the University of Maine in Farmington and Colby College in Waterville.
My DD Tarsha, the one who got married last Sept.....she & her husband are both doing it. She just called about an hour ago her voice was shaking, filled with pride as she crossed the 1st day finish line. She biked 68 miles today, this Momma is one proud chicken right now. I have so much admiration for this girl...she jogs, ran track in school, was Capt. of her Cheering Team, and Capt. of her Field Hockey Squad too. And now this.....she has never let "IT" stop her. She is one of those who know what it's like to fight for a breath....Tarsha has asthma.
awesome!!!!
As an asthma sufferer myself, although much older, I really am amazed.
good deal Victor
Thanks Jen!
Thank you Iris, I know you understand, im very, very proud of her!!
We have used popcorn in traps. Hope you find out how to get rid of it. One chewed a phone cord to a little used room one time.
we have those electric traps ... they were under the sink.. and I saw them both flashing when I went in there to get some cleaner.. who knew???.. two critters in there.. kind of glad the old peanut butter still attracted them in there.. so we reloaded with new PB in case there are more.. Randy found another in the garage.. can't beat those traps
Tarsha is doing a great job, Celeste. Please give her my best wishes.
Way to go Tarsha!
holy cow.. just amazing Celeste
I wish I hadn't seen that this morning....it jusy made the Mommy in me worry even more until she finally checked in. I bet I asked her 10X last night if she packed all her asthma meds and spare inhalers! She finally said...."Mum, im 28, almost 29 years old!" LOL
you are allowed to always be the Mum!!
here is a playlist of bird cam video.. with the new replacement camera.. the old one broke and the company replaced it free
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?p=PLB64353629C573177
Busy feeders!!! Nice the Company replaced it too!! :)
I was shocked.. think it's 3 years old now.. the screen went out so I couldn't program it.. they even picked up the shipping to send the old one back
Cool, see the H. finches, bluejay, (when the finches run for cover, lol), cowbird, titmouse, cardinals, grackles, (ugh, I have too many of those this year..), and the feeder to the left rear gets attention too, nice!
Always admire a good multi-tasker.

LOL
This has to be the most disgusting thing EVER!!!!

My nephew and his wife are expecting a baby girl in August and the baby shower is tomorrow so I started bringing all the old baby stuff out of the attic to give to them, kinda makes me sad
Check any crib construction. However it would be helpful to have some baby stuff at home if they will visit. The costs are so great, I'm sure that they will welcome anything you can donate to them.
Yuck!! Thats' disgusting!
.. this world is going crazy, I hope I get abducted by aliens and they get me outta here!
Pixie, a wonderful story about Tarsha...I think she takes after her Mom!
Gross. I thought at first it said 'faces'!
Celeste, Glad to see your daughter in that race. My son also has asthma badly. Especially with all this yellow pine pollen floating around. Go Maine!!
Way to go, Tarsha and Tarsha's Mom!!! I've had asthma since I was a young child, but mine is well-controlled and I rarely know I have it as long as I take my meds faithfully. I'm lucky, as I walk a lot and never have trouble except when elevations are involved. I wouldn't be able to do the elevations Tarsha tackled! Awesome! You can't imagine how great it feels to overcome something like that!
Allison - that's really cool about your bird cam! Today we have a pair of yellow Evening Grosbeaks checking out Bill's birdhouse. I think the opening may be too small for them, but they were trying to scare off the chickadees with their babies camped in a bluebird box just over the fence in our backyard. We haven't put out our bird feeders yet and haven't bought the birdseed since the bears have been in the 'hood, but today is the day! Love to see the colorful birds coming in and feeding!
