Summer bbqing

There is a place here famous for hot dogs but they sell a mean burger they call a "Royale" it's flame broiled. When I was pregnant I craved them with just butter on the bun. :)

Food at the restaurant was great. We both had the chicken special - with asparagus, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes.

Oh, yum.....I'm getting hungry....Debi, that potato recipe looks wonderful.....

Yes, DW and I always order different things at a restaurant also, it's against the rules to order the same thing. It's like wearing matching coats or something.. feels icky.

Sea Bass tonight with fries and a watercress & cucumber salad, don't know what DW is having yet, I have homemade chicken soup for her depending on how she feels..

Hmmmm....no. Never dressed like DH. Had baked pork chops, green bean salad & corn for dinner....can't believe I felt like cooking today.....

No one is saying you have to be a lunatic health freak, but Americans making stupid choices is the main reason our healthcare costs are through the roof. Smoking, eating junk, not exercising and then wasting even more money to keep these people breathing for a few extra weeks at the end of their lives is taking us down a financial black hole that we will never get out of.

well we pounded out the chicken breasts last night and put them in brine... going to grill today for the party.. easy stuff chicken, burgers, and dogs.. I was going to pick up an ice cream cake.. but was yelled at by Randy that he already had that taken care of.. and my birthday / father's day party .. has now turned into just my party.. don't think my dad is up to coming over.. more or less said he doesn't want to be around that many people... sigh... have a bunch of picky foods to start everyone off with.. mini tacos for the kids & turkey wraps .. cheese and crackers.. some of Jen's wholly guacamole .. (which I sampled at costco yesterday.. and I am now a guac lover!!)... chips, and picked up peanut butter filled pretzels at costco.. was going to pick up one of the veggie platters .. but the store was out of them.. might run over this morning.. will have ice cream cake.. and my neighbor is making her 2 pies for us.. usually apple and strawberry rhubarb

YUM! I don't suppose I could make it time if I left now?? LOL
