ROTFL
Weeze, you should have let him have that chippie.
Poor pooch, hope you find his owners
I hope Roto finds his owners!
Oh my goodness Yank, you do have a heart of gold. :) Roto is really a pretty dog, reminds me of my Jake a great deal. Hope you find the owners soon.

Max looked nervous
He's tiny! Like the tick song, Sherrie!
he was always nervous.. when all the other dogs barked.. he would run and sit on my shoulder.. just plain timid
The dog has gone home! A kid riding his bike saw him in my neighbor's yard and the Mom came over with the leash! I am so happy! This was such an ordeal! Bridgeport Animal Control does not work weekends. Even tiny cities have 24 hour animal services. I could not find anywhere to take this dog. I had to go out for a couple of hours yesterday and it rained while I was gone and the dog howled and my neighbors were at my throat. I was guilty of dog abuse! I nearly slept outside with it last night - nearly - I'm not that crazy - yet. I was just dreading tonight and heard someone talking outside. It was one of his owners! The kid asked me if I wanted a reward - heck I would have given them $20 to take the dog! I had a big shot of Kahlua to celebrate!
you made me laugh so hard I cried..
:)
Yay for you Yank!!! Love your description!
LOL
Oh, Memory, I'm so glad the dog is back home! We had several dogs make their way to our house over the years.....one was a large GSD....Doug let him into the house after I had gone to bed.....he awakened me with a big kiss on the lips! The dog that is!
Just getting the dog out of my neighbors yard was reward enough so that crazy neighbor won't call me an animal abuser again!
Well, my neighbors back yard looks a lot better now that I spent the whole day working in it. Other than where dog sat in the plants, of course.
No - I would have managed to get Animal Control to pick it up!
LOL and so glad the owners showed up.
Glad to hear there was a happy ending for all concerned!
What a J*** A**. I've heard the argument for many years that house cats are responsible for bird deaths, but I have to ask this question....Do song birds have any natural enemies left (in our back yards)? I had one hawk hanging out handling chippies and bunnies and most likely birds, but he seems to have departed. What is left to keep natural selection/survival of the fittest in balance? Do I want my cat to kill birds, No, but, is it a huge crime if he does??? Not that he has even come close to catching a bird, just the chippie, and he seems to be more of a retriever than a killer. I'll get off my soapbox now, but really, I'm amazed that a person, educated or not, could harbor such ill will that they kill(people's pets) with malicious intent. Much worse than the lowly cat, in my opinion.
Weeze, what a cute pic of your kitty!
Memory, so glad you found that dog's owner. That was so nice of you to do that. We once took in a Great Dane puppy that we found wandering around. I took pics and put out fliers. Took one the the police station and they said someone had come in reporting him missing. He was all black with a little bit of white. Very friendly. Turned out he belonged to the neighbor's down the street who own a large number of cranberry bogs. They have several dogs. They were so happy to get him back.
Well, we are getting a new puppy! I'm so excited. His name is Jerry, a Basset hound mix of about 6-7 mths old, and just the cutest thing! We (Dad, sister Hope, Patches and myself) went to meet him yesterday up in NH. What a sweet puppy. We are definitely getting him. Here are some pics of him.

Jerry and Patches meet for the first time.

Thanks, Jen! My thoughts exactly!

A lucky pooch; one happy dog, I predict !
He's a cutie Karen! Lucky Jerry!!
Congrays Karen! Jerry is a handsome boy!!
Jerry is too cute!!!.. Hope they get along and be best buds!!!
Thanks everyone! I can't wait to bring him home. They have to have the vet check him and get a health certificate first. He'll be a lot of work for awhile until he's trained and all. Likes to counter surf, and I'll be he likes getting in the trash. He's going to keep us on our toes!
Karen
don't I know it!!

Thanks B.A. he looks like a Buddah !
