2011 BURLESON SOUTH RU **JUNE 5TH** (TRADE LIST)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sybil has written out turn by turn directions with landmarks and such if needed, but a visual is always better for me.

Dallas, TX

THANKS PATTI AND DEB FOR YOUR KIND OFFERINGS! :)
JOSEPHINE; you were going to give me something to make those burning sticks when it was ready. Lord I cant remember!
This thread is too long I cant remember who had what. lol but I saw some things I would like to have if anyone have any left :)
Datura
Flowering Quince
Red salvia
Black & Blue salvia
Btw if I don't have enough small pots I am just gonna sack up the Hostas in soil, so have pots to put them when you get home. These are shade plants! Dont let them get dry, they are going to need petting for a while. :)
Oh Yes someone had a BLACK POTATOE VINE? I would love to have one please, I like any vine!
A DGer sent me a potato vine(she had a another name for it) a few years ago. It was a smaller leaf, dark and shiny and grow tiny potatoes. Every year it amazes me, its the prettiest thing! I wish I knew who that was so I can tell her how much I enjoy it.
ok I am going to stop muttering.
Sheila & Deb I would like to grow something out front to bring the butterflies. ;)

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

My cousin, Vicki, is coming for sure, and she has llama poop to trade. I told her she would be "most popular." She would like something that blooms in the shade.

Sylvia, I have a few purple datura. They're not big, but they are healthy looking. I just potted them last week.

I also have one or two of the burgundy colored sweet potato vines.

Since I hardly know the names of anything, I would trust any of you to pick something for me that can take mostly sun. Also, I'm starting a "native" area just in front of my tree line. It'll get sun until about 4 o'clock.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Anna, I will have a bag of the iris tubers, so just let me know how many you want.

Sybil, I'm bringing lots of toad lilies--Vicki is welcome to some of those if she wants them.

Maybe we could set off an area where, after all the trading and pre-requests are done, we could all just put our leftover extras, and anyone who wants them is welcome to take them.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Pattie, I don't need too many...maybe 5 or 6 but less if many others want

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Anna, I'm already getting several plants from you, but since no one else has asked for them, I'd like to have your 'Autumn Sunset' mums.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Patty, may I ask for one of the toad lilies...I will keep it if it is different than mine, if the same I will give it to my guest Jean from Georgia. Look at my list and see what I can bring you.

Oh and Jean has brought 4 Japanese Maple tree seedlings to trade.

Thank you, pbtxlady. I'm sure Vic will like the toad lillies.

And that's a good idea about the leftover plants. I'm hoping I can pick some things that way, since I don't know what to ask for.

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila, my friends, Sharon and Benny Sunday. She has ground cover (don't ask me what kind) to trade, and she's interested in herbs. She mentioned mint, basil and flat leaf parsley.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't have anything except lemon mint, so I will bring that for her.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

They are yours,Pat! I am sure you can highlight their color. I had them next to pink/red Yuck, bad color combo...

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, do want some of those daylilies?

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Anna, I'll use them in the front island bed along with Mexican mint marigolds and hopefully some other mums in fall colors.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

That sounds like a much better place!

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila, the black dalea looks like it is not going to make it. I will try to layer one instead so let's aim for the fall. Anything else you'd like? If you still have lizard tail, I like one.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Well pooh! LOL! Please do try for one in the fall Anna. Do you have any gomphrena left? I know I got some before from Steph, but not finding it now. I have plenty of lizard's tail, will bring you some.

Dear Friends,

I’m very sorry to have to do this but I’m going to have to pull out of Sunday. I won’t bore you with the details but there is nothing for anyone to worry – just a lot of things hitting home all at once and not enough hours in a week. I’ll see you in the fall.

Kate

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

EEeee(squeel) LOL. I'm getting excited to see y'all again. I have a couple more things I'm bringing that I'm not gonna try to list. If everyone is getting something from me please check my list, if your not on there shout at me please :)

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Sorry you can't make it Kate.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Will miss you Kate.

I am ready too Stephanie!!! Although it will be a hot one Sunday.......way different than May 1st was!!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

*****Josrphine if you still have the P foetida i would love to have it. Do you have any of the P morifolia "Woodland PV". If not I can swap you for the foetida.*****

*****Sheila could I have one of your velvet leaf Sennas?
I am bringing you things from your "wants" list. :-)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Patrob- Do you still have a turquois puya?

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Just in case anyone has extra of these, one of my guests is looking for purple jew, and another is interested in herbs.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Deb, I'll bring a puya for you.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Deb, I don't have morifolia and will be very happy to have one from you, i will bring the passiflora.

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

Who ever was looking for B&B I have a pot for you if you would like. I now have all my extra things potted up and boy are they pouting. I hope they all do OK :-/

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine, since Kate isn't coming, could I have the Turk's cap she was going to get? And I feel bad even saying that. I am so sorry Kate isn't coming.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Surely Glanna, Cheryl just left here she came to bring the sedum for you.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Great Josephine, its a deal!

TY Patricia!

Catz- it was Sylvia who wanted B&B, and if you clip the tops after you dig them up and pot them, they dont have to work so hard to be perky.

I potted some for Sylvia too.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

My cones are really, really pouting too. They should be okay, but they look awful!

Sure, Sheila, there are plenty of toad lilies. For all who are getting toad lilies from me... they are unpotted. They are pretty tall this time of year, and I just don't have enough pots big enough to pot them all up. They've been soaking in a little water all week, and they're happy like that. But, they will need to be planted within a few days.

I'm sorry you can't come, Kate. :( We'll miss you. I'll save your skullcap till fall.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

I think anything is going to pout in this heat !! The little black and blue salvia I transplanted on March 24th looked like cooked spinach the next day and pouted for a while. Today it is about 16 inches tall and wide and blooming.

Dallas, TX

HEY GUYS, I got to apologize but I am sick as a dog and cant stay out the BR! I was so looking forward to seeing you guys. SYBIL I sure hate to miss meeting you. Sheila please dont be upset with me. I will mail everyone their plants, no problem, I think I have everyone's address as I have sent you something one time or another ... you too Pat.
Now I got to call Dianne ... what a bummer! Anyway Fall will be here soon.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, don't mail me anything! I am so sorry that you are ill and hope the bug passes quickly. Take care of yourself. We'll visit at the fall RU, and I'll bring you a bunch of daylilies then.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, Sylvia. Please don't mail me the hosta. I am sure there is a RU in the future we will both be at. Take care!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

No don't go mailing anything out...Just get well. We will miss you again, but hopefully you will be better in the fall.

I'm gonna stick that 'Twister' hosta back in the ground before I kill it! LOL!

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

I need to apologize :( I will not be able to bring the recipe booklets today :( I got home yesterday evening and my new, sweet, precious, adorable 5mo old lab puppy had broken my computer desk and my laptop was dangling 2ft. from the floor by it's cord. Laptop is fine however my printer is jammed/maybe broken so I cannot print anything out. :( I don't know what happened when I was gone and he refuses to tell me the truth. He just sits there with his sweet puppy eyes and wags his tail. LOL

I will save the thread and we can add to it and I'll make it up to everyone in the fall. Sorry :(

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL!! Too funny...but not really. Got to forgive the fur babies though.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Wow, can I sympathize with that. My Rottie knocked my best HP laser printer off it's stand and it never worked again.

Dallas, TX

You guys are great! Yes Sheila please take care of the Twister, put it in a pot so you don't have to move it again. :)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Well it is in the pot now, you and Linda need to come over and get it and some extra tree/bushes that are popping up all over.
