2011 BURLESON SOUTH RU **JUNE 5TH** (TRADE LIST)

Caddo Mills, TX(Zone 8a)

bananna,
the potato vines are black. I have 2 if you want them.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

I will pass. I have a lot of shade and need bright and lighter colors. Thanks

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Anybody want twin-leaf senna (Senna roemeriana) for your butterflies? I found about six I can dig from an area soon to be mowed. (You may not want it if you live in the country as it is poisonous to some livestock if eaten in quantity.) http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/42577/

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

I would like those twin leaf senna, patrob, as I'm starting a wild flower area next to an east facing tree line. I plan to pot my extra stuff this week, and then I'll post what I have. Please let me know what I have that you could use.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Pat if you have some senna to spare I would like that one, I don't have it.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Pat, I would like senna also if there's any left.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, I would like the twin-leaf senna also if you have more. I don't have livestock to consider. I don't think my dogs would eat it, they only trample flowers!

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I believe I have enough twin-leaf senna for everyone who has asked for it. If I look around, I am sure to find more as it planted itself on our property. I examine each "weed" nowadays to make sure I am not killing a useful native plant.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't know how easy it is going to be for you to transplant it at this time, but at least it is better than losing them altogether.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

If there is any left I would like one twin-leaf senna (Senna roemeriana).

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll sure try to find one for you too, Anna. They are just beginning to bloom, but I can spot them by their distinctive foliage.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks...but don't be stepping in fireant mounds!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I've added a few things to my list!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Stephanie, could I please have some of your cutleaf coneflower? I don't have that one.
Please check my list.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure, Josephine!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you Stephanie.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

bananna18: Noticed you want coffee grounds. Would you like a 4-gallon bucket of coffee grounds in exchange for society garlic?

LMK.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Does anyone have any frog fruit they would be willing to share or trade for anything on my skimpy list?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes Glenna, I have some Frogfruit I can give you.

Dallas, TX

Patrob, yes I'm bringing you flowering quince.

Kate

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I can bring you some frog fruit....great day for transplanting, just after that soaking rain.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Josephine and Sheila, for the frogfruit. I'll take as much as I can get.

Arlington, TX

Great day for planting too. I still have a few plants in pots, sadly.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Kate, for the flowering quince.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

You are not alone Cheryl....I have some I have to dig before I can set others out too.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Well... if anyone doesn't have at least a couple plants in pots waiting to be put in the ground while they're trying to figure out exactly where best to put them, I don't want to hear about it!!!! ROFL. I never get it all figured out.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

There isn't a time that I don't have things to share, root, or something! Youre right Glenna.

Arlington, TX

I just hate to try and baby a potted plant after it starts to get really hot. With new planting areas I have pretty much used up what I had but do still have a few staring at me as I pass them by.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm going to have to work on my list, but here are a few things I know off the top of my head. Mostly the same stuff that I always have. Maybe more to come later.

Things I've dug up and saved, all fall or next spring bloomers:
Tricyrtis lasiocarpa (blue toad lilies), divisions (4)
Penstemon tenuis (Brazos penstemon) (6)
Agastache 'Honey Bee Blue' (4)
Liatris (3)
Mealy sage (1)

Things I can start or dig on request, generally as many as needed:
Buddleia davidii (butterfly bush)
Indigo spires salvia
Scutillaria latifolia, Texas pink skullcap
Echinacea purpurea, native purple coneflower, self-seedlings (Josephine, let me know if you need these)
Creeping jenny
Golden carpet sedum
Groundcover st. john's wort
Obedient plant (have been composting these, speak now if you want one--one is more than enough :) )
Ruellia, Katie's Blue

Water plants:
Blue pickerel reed (1 large)
Lemon bacopa (small pieces, grows REALLY fast)

WANTS:
passifloras, any varieties. I have some, thanks to folks who traded them last fall. But I lost my Lady Margaret and my plain old maypop.
brugs. D-mail me first to find out if I have it or not. I lost my big ones and don't have any big enough yet to cut for trades.
Gingers.
Phygelius, any strain or color.

pbtxlady,

I would love to have any or all of the following:

Echinacea purpurea, native purple coneflower, self-seedlings
Agastache 'Honey Bee Blue'
Buddleia davidii
Golden carpet sedum - Would appreciate a lot of this one because I have the perfect place where I need it to spread and spread.

My trade list is rather skimpy. Dogs_N_Petunias.. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=8560509. But I have crushed llama manure to trade, square buckets containing about 4 gallons and lots of coffee grounds, the same quantity. Just LMK.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Pat- if you have any Two-leaf Senna left, please save me some.
:-S

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Catz- i'll be interested in BF Ginger

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Glenna- I'd love some Hercules Club, whatever is left

Josephine- Can you can spare any Duranta erecta?

Arlington, TX

Glenna, do you know exactly which sedum you are wanting.

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll put your name on one Debnes :)

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Deb, I'll go looking for more two-leaf senna. I'm pretty sure I saw some out by the veggie garden yesterday as I went by on the tractor. I'd love to have a couple of your Mexican milkweeds.

Pattie, it's good to have you back! I have a few brugs I can take cuttings from and maybe some gingers I can divide. Most are still in the greenhouse since I am running way behind as usual, so I'll make a list this afternoon and d-mail it to you. Please save me a couple of your toad lilies, Katie's blue ruellia, purple coneflowers, golden carpet sedum, and an agastache 'Honey Bee Blue.' Check my list too. I still have lots of plants that need new homes.

Quote from newtonsthirdlaw :

Golden carpet sedum was what was being offered for trade and I looked it up on line. I want something that spreads aggressively and can withstand dry, rocky area once established and it sounded like the golden carpet sedum will do that. Have 300 feet property line with about a 5-ft. embankment covered in large rock that needs something to fit that description.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

debnes_dfw_tx : Will put your name on 2 Hercules Club. These are small but growing fast.

I have some golden carpet sedum from pbtxlady and I put it in a pot. It's done great! I don't have much luck growing sedum in the ground for some reason.
