Patrob are those aloes hardy in your area? I have been wanting an aloe but didnt' think any would survive in my area.
C
Patricia...may I get a start of the Aloe thraskii. I have a rooted Crossvine, not very large; so pick something else from my list also.
The Lizard's tail is a water/pond plant for me and spreads from the roots in the water. I don't have it in soil now, but I seem to remember it slowed down the growth. It would make a great bog plant.
Neither of the aloes is hardy here. I bring the big pots into the sunroom or greenhouse in the winter. A. arborescens can tolerate temps as low as 20-25 degrees, but we usually get down into the teens a couple of times each winter. A. thraskii is less hardy and does not survive below 30-32 degrees. They do, however, make really nice sunroom plants, not too stickery but just enough to keep the young cats from destroying them.
Sheila, I have you down for an Aloe thraskii. Thank you for the crossvine. Your plants always grow well, so I'm not worried that it is small.
Pat, may I have a lady in red? I could give you a cutting of Salvia caradonna that I can start today. I just planted it a few weeks ago, so it is not ready for division.
Pat, may i have some mexican hats? check my list please.
Sheila, I would like one of your velvet-leaf senna seedlings. What else can I bring for you?
Glenna, I will bring the liatris, yarrow, and irises that I did not get delivered to you at Arlington.
Kate, is there anything on my list you'd like to have for a flowering quince?
Anna, please check my list to see what I could trade you for an Augusta Duelberg salvia and a Jacob Cilne monarda.
Anna, thank you. I would like to try the cutting of Salvia caradonna too, so shall I bring you several 'Lady in Red' salvias, or do I have something else you would prefer to have?
Josephine, how many Mexican hats can you use? Do you want the bicolor or all yellow or both? I am happy to have something to share with you, and you have already generously shared many plants with me.
Patrob, I'd like to try the Yucca, please.
Thank you Pat, maybe two of each for the Fielder garden.
Kate and Josephine, I have both of you down.
If anyone can use any of the plants on my list, please just ask for them! In Arlington several people inquired about plants that I had not brought extras of. I am clearing some large areas completely in hopes of eradicating johnson grass, showy evening primrose, other difficult weeds, shinnery, briars, etc. Many plants need new homes!
Pat, could I get an ox-eye daisy and a mealy cup sage from you please?
Banana18, could I get a strawberry gomphrena from you please?

Thank you Pat :)
Pat, no problem for the augusta salvia and mondarda. I feel better that you want those incase the the caradonna doesn't work.Just so you know, I dug them up yesterday, so they still may be grumpy by the RU, but I am sure they will be viable. One Lady in Red is fine, I'd love the manure too.
Catz, I will bring you the gomphrena...just a warning, you may have it forever. It reseeds, but is easy to pull out.
Thank you banana18 :) and for the warning ;)
Sorry I have been absent tonight...watching Survivor and dinner, earlier helped put up a new storm door.
OK....Patricia... velvet leaf senna is yours, but it is very tiny...can I bring you something else? Because I want to ask for another Mex Hat...my dogs trampled the one I got from you last time. Also an Oxeyed Daisy please.
Anna, if you have more strawberry gomphrena available, I'd like to have one.
Stephanie, do I have anything on my list I could trade for your Turk's cap?
I have updated my trade list.

Thanks.
Gomphrena is yours, Glenna
Tina, what color is your potato vine?
Glenna, I'll dig up one of the Turk's Caps and put your name on it! I can always use more llama poop!
Glenna, I have tried and tried to grow peonies, but no luck. I buy the boxed tubers, and they either don't come up at all, or they get 3-4 inches high and just die. I would love to try some of your seed.
I'll have some lambs ear, purple datura and maybe some potato vine (sort of burgundy colored).
I would like some of the peony poppy seed too Glenna. I have 'John Fanick', 'Natasha', and Carolina Phlox that I could find a start of one to swap.
Stephanie, thanks for Turks Cap. Reserving llama poo for you.
Sybil, would love the purple Datura. These aren't actual peonies but are poppies that the blooms look like peonies. Really full beautiful blooms. (I had no luck with real peonies either.) Plant the poppy seed in October. They come up in a couple weeks and start blooming early spring. Reserving peony poppy seed for you.
Sheila, would appreciate the John Fanick phlox if you have it. Thanks. Reserving peony poppy seed for you.
OK Glenna, any more peony poppy seed for me?
I was foolishly pulling out a gomphrena without gloves and disturbed fire ants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily I remembered that I should rub my hands with the young leaves of comfrey, it relieved the burning and I have no ill effects. So don't worry, I will just bring the plant!
Poor thing! I was going to separate a few spiral ginger to offer....but as you did ran into ants! Luck to have the hose in my hand at the same time. That pot will stay as it is for a while to make sure they are dead.
Thanks Glenna.
