Raining again. Not 'pitter patter'. More like 'thunka thunka'.

Stopped raining about noon. The sun came out and it really warmed up. Very muggy. Got home at 4 pm. changed, came down to head off to the herb garden and it was pouring down rain Checked the radar map and there's some ugly stuff coming up from Long Island way. The rain has been coming in waves. Hard, soft, hard again. I don't think it's ever going to really stop.

Ocean shore has been taking a pounding, lots of flooding down there, they've been taking stronger winds too.

Sorry. Hope you're on high ground.

flooding all over here too.. and just got an alert from the police that the rockaway river is going to flood tonight & take precautions .. might be staying home tomorrow if it's that bad

Thanks, I'm about 89' above sea level.
Thankfully never get a flooded basement, (except that one time when the hose disconnected from my humidifier, but that's another story..) ☺

Rain started again tonight. No thunderstorms though this time.

Jumper 2 reported by cell phone from northern Ohio that lightening had hit the neighbors tree & knocked out their phone system. they can see a piece of branch caught in their phone box. some appliances started up again, but tower computer is out as well as the washing machine. they had thought freezer, but all right & fridge works when they put it on an extention cord. so they won't lose the food. It helps to eat. but no internet for awhile.

A bit too close for comfort!

The tree is higher than the house so I guess a target. It will be frustrating until they get everything working again. the main computer went so all available now are the lap tops. DS was at work the last I talked to her so his laptop will have to be tested.

Hear you, Bill.....it rained so hard, the gutters couldn't handle it....sounded like Niagra Falls......now, it's dark, gloomy, damp, chilly & overly saturated! Sounds like a shopping day to me! Glad Jumper is OK, but no fun having electrical service out.....

Rain and gloom,however to have a half full glass all my sprig planting looks to have been stress free even young plants from last year seem to have enjoyed the rain,no doubt they will welcome some sun and soon.

Well, it was raining this morning, but finally stopped. The sun actually came out and the kids made it out to the garden this afternoon. There are ominous clouds in the area, but nothing yet. The forecast is for thunderstorms, but we just aren't getting them. (Should I have said that?) Sorry for those in Philly who got hit.

I'm getting pops on my lightning app now, Candy, so sit tight!

Power went out while we were at my son's school musical...there was a fire down the road when we left, maybe it was a transformer ????

flooding all over again.. Wayne area is getting it again.. but there are a lot of areas this time.. 55 now going to 70.. saying showers on and off today
