Sheila, your Zinnias are up and blooming already? Mine are just seedlings still. I'm so jealous! And the picture of the Hummingbird Moth ... WOW! I know how hard those little buggers are to photograph -- that picture is awesome.

No, I cheated Carla...went and bought a couple flats of zinnias. They aren't doing too well in the ground though; I think the sow bugs are getting to them. Potted ones are thriving.
As for the HB moth, I was planting and he flew right in my face to a larkspur. I had to run get the camera. I came back and parked and started snapping pictures. I don't see them very often.

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

That's funny, Sheila. Every spring I buy a couple Zinnias because I just can not wait for my seedlings to get growing ... and every years those store-bought Zinnias look puny and suffer. I did it again this year too! Now I'm trying to patiently wait for the seedlings to get big enough that I can't see the puny ones any more. LOL!

Love the Mrs. Duelberg salvia! Mine died in the last freeze we had. :(

Beautiful flowers and butterflies!

Carla...It is not like I didn't have seeds! Just think I need them now! LOL!
Stephanie....sending you dmail. Thanks Anna!
Good pics Cheryl, I like the Skeletonleaf, hope mine does as well. That last pic of the daisy is a very different color for sure.

As to the Cannas..........I would not put them anywhere near cable lines. You have to thin Cannas every 3 to 5 years because they get too tight with roots...(rhizomes)

I so love some of these flowers....and the HB Moth rocks....great shot.

Here is a little guy who watched my DH play in the garden.

I also have a patch of white (or albino) skullcap. I didn't plant it and it suddenly showed up in the middle of this clump last year. I was wondering if it would reappear this year.

Well we have had a lot of rain recently, so I expect everything to go nuts as it warms up more.

Irving, TX(Zone 8a)

It's a joke sorta......My husband use to joke around alot about how it was San andreas fault when small things would arise.....I just changed the spelling and used it back when i first started on the internet.....over 10 years ago, LOL :) Alot of peole mistake it for me being from Calif. I have been in Irving from my Jr. High Days....which was a very long time ago :) We lived in Arlington briefly ..near Pantego......now we are back in Irving ...hoping to one day get way out of the metroplex in a very less populated area :)
